Mike Love - First Love [Alternate Mix]

“Sometimes your first love turns out to be the best love you’ve ever had.” Is probably one of the best lyrics Mike ever wrote. And man, First Love is such a good album; and I really wish it had been released by the time L.A was in production! It’s got that disco feel to it like I’ve never heard before. Heck, even the title track alone would’ve been a better replacement for “Here Comes The Night” on L.A. What do you think?

I love this album as a whole. It's surprisingly solid when you first listen. Mike's solo career would probably have been as successful as it was, but he could at least say he really tried

I think they could've shortened "here comes the night" to make space to include this song. After all, a 4:33 minutes version exists.
