How rotten can an MG midget be??? It's repairable, but only just! The toughest restore yet!

Well Done Chloe, that looks like a long term long haul job.. look forward to the videos on this one.. the mg midget was always a classic even in the days when they first introduced them..

Wow that's a pretty holey Midget floor; just the paint holding it together by the looks of it. Good luck with the repairs. Don't feel so bad about the little bit of rust I've found on my car.

I had one much worse than this one. Big holes everywhere and needed a re-shell. But now it is like a new car after eliminating all with a restored different body shell, new wings, bonnet, boot and floors. In comparison to mine yours looks really good, but needs some good welding to the bare shell.

I have since sourced a better shell. It's just pending time 👍

Well at least it's got a floor and sills, a well meaning previous owner had cut them out of mine without any bracing. Took hours to get it square

      Well done for doing it!
I've sourced a donor shell now, hence it's been on hold for a while.

@@RetroRatz Different times, I was a time rich cash poor student but the car came with all the panels to complete it included in the £300 purchase price so spending hours sticking it back together was just all good fun.

I’ve only just found your channel via this video suggested by RUclips. I was wondering what happened to the Midget as there doesn’t seem to be anything else on it.

Thanks for joining us! This one had collapsed in the middle and wouldn't be viable! I have just managed to aquire another shell. Still rotten, but hopefully do-able, so the blue one will become a donar!
The project got put on pause as I acquired a 1967 Triumph 1300 at the same time, and that's currently being done! We've 10 vehicles on the go here! So bare with us, I will get back to the Midgits ❤️
