one day i will be either brave or skilled enough to repair the goldwork on my great grandmothers jewelry box. practice makes progress but having a good teacher helps as well :) ❤️the little worm
Your flower turned out so pretty. I love your videos, and after seeing some of the goldwork ones, I will definitely be giving it a try in future. Take care.
OK, that worm is just too cute for words. Kudos to Jonathan for suggesting that he needed a head, and to you, Sarah, for following through on the suggestion! The two of you make such a great team. I love this idea of just having fun with the various goldwork threads - in all of their color variations. I can hardly wait to make some of the bright check balls and plate ribbon curls. Thank you for the tempate that you used for this design. 💖
Such fun Sarah, and I very much enjoyed your suggestions on turning the leather over for a completely different look. I've only ever used it 'right side up', and now I see that EITHER side can be the 'right' side. Pssst.... loved the worm🤗
I loved this video; its the kind of stuff I like to do. Playing with textures and different materials is half the fun of embroidery. I really feel like the possibilities are endless. I appreciate that you showed us how everything is traditionally done, then did the "wrong" way. Very fun!
What a great video!! I'd love to learn goldwork someday. Its so gorgeous!!! Thx for the video. I especially love the leaf at beginning. I just ordered a blue kit from Jennings644 (UK) and I noticed she added blue bullion. I'm so excited to use it in my embroidery & bead embroidery. I will need to watch your goldwork videos again so I can use it!! Austin,TX USA
How fun you can make things Sarah❣️I love it now that I know a lot of stitches with your help! Rules and no rules…this army girl loves the mix..thank you as ever, 🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽Mia
Years ago I took a class with Joann Musso on how to embellish an off the rack garment to make it a one of a kind. I was immediately caught up with your examples today to try this on some of my garments. The hard part will be making the design a sort of pin so it can be removed for laundry. WOW, I've not been this excited about an idea in ages. Now I need to find a source for these items. Do you sell and hopefully ship to Kansas?
Thank you Sarah that was really great, I would never in a million years have thought of any of that!, and can't wait to try the bright check balls, they are just brilliant, so simple yet so effective!!.
I watched it all. All the 36 min and 59 secs of. In case you had doubts some of us do stay until the end! Cheers😊
Thank you Monica!! :)
You have a very amazing imagination
I love the worm!
Just off to have some fun with bright check.
Really fun design! Can’t wait to have a go at it myself! Off to your shop I go! 😊
Amazing how you see all of the beauty in a bunch of thread and wire.
It is always a pleasure to see what you can turn some bits and bobs in to!
Just love your fun creative easy approach. A great teacher and
so generous in all you share😊

It's fun to have a play Linda! Takes away the pressure...
I gasped when you stretched the bright check, but how cute is that!
It goes against my teaching Keenan! I felt a bit rebellious! :)

Sometimes that leather is a bit too blingy I find Jane, the back gives your eyes a bit of respite! :)

I feel like I've been a bit naughty Heather!
When using leathers in my goldwork embroidery I use a size 5 glovers needle. So much faster and easier than struggling with a regular needle.
Great video 😊
