Green-Shirt-Guy was always one of our favourites--when we were watching Grease nearly every weekend in high school, and really started to notice him. His enthusiasm, dancing ability, frequency in scenes-but more than anything the lime green shirt and Charlie Chaplin Dance at the end made us unable to take our eyes off him when he was on screen. RIP Mr. Levans.
I was depressed and tired, then I danced to this and remembered when I did this as the musical in school, and now I'm happy:) all hail the power of happy music and nostalgia!
I remember leaving high school and having a job before I graduated but had gone to the auditorium where I was able to graduate with my class friends and then celebrate at McDonalds with family and back to work, as I finished that day having my diploma for that year. I was happy at last!
My sister got married yesterday and when she and her new husband were introduced at the reception, the bridal party had formed an aisle for them to come up the middle of and when they did, they did it to this song. Everyone sang along and it was perfect.
If anyone is wondering the name of the guy in the green shirt, it's Daniel Levans. He not only makes an appearance in this part of the movie, but aslo appears in the Greased Lightening bit, The prom scene, and more!
Grease (1978) will always stand the test of time, decade after decade, styles and stars may move on but the basic story is timeless, and this ensemble made it memorable, bet they had a great time doing this number. I remember how much fun it was in my senior year , graduation day-1976 was a hoot , some kids snuck in bottles of booze under those huge sleeved robes ,& passed around ,whiskey, gin and vodka, getting shit faced and receiving a diploma -LOL ! oh yeah , and our yearbooks were FREE !!
Daniel Levins the guy with the green polo stoled the show love love love watching him dance every time I watch Grease I find myself continuously rewinding that part 😊
He was a stone professional..!!! We stayed in touch and became even better friends in the past 15. What a guy. What a loss. That last dance scene made Grease!! Trained classical ballet!
Look at when this was filmed? the background, the weather, the life!!! when times are simple and the economy wasn't greedy! and everyone could afford to live simply and happily.

2:23 has always killed me,when Rizzo slaps Kenickie with their yearbooks,as if as a joking reference to the quarrel they had had earlier in the musical. Also,I have seen this tons of times, and only just now did I notice for the first time that Eugene comes out first,by himself(stag!)before the five couples(T birds and Pink Ladies,of,course), with Patty and Tom distributing the yearbooks. But somehow,I never had seemed to notice Eugene ever in this scene,at all(I guess because he does seem to be the "odd one out.") The couples coming out to get their yearbooks are,in this order: Jan and Putzie, Frenchy and Doody, Marty and Sonny, Rizzo and Kenickie, and, finally, the class couple of Sandy and Danny,in "Greased lightning," no less! And cute,as Sandy turns around to wave goodbye,as she and Danny head uphill. Also neat, the way Patty and Tom even walk offf hand in hand.

I think I get why the car flys, their auto teacher tells them before the thunder road race that if the car were in any better condition it would fly and this one is obviously in better condition so maybe that's why they made it fly. Its also the car they were making in the song of greased lightning after Danny goes under the car and comes out the other end.

His name is Daniel Levans! He was wonderful
Dear god...this has been stuck in my head all day..I seriously need to watch the movie again.
If anyone is wondering the name of the guy in the green shirt, it's Daniel Levans. He not only makes an appearance in this part of the movie, but aslo appears in the Greased Lightening bit, The prom scene, and more!
I noticed him featured in all of the dance numbers.
He was very talented.
He was an amazing person as well

Green Shirt Guy, you're an amazing dancer.
Yeah I don't if it is the camera angle but he seems to be front and center and I can't stop noticing him!
Daniel Levans is guy in the green shirt.
He’s so damn committed when he jumps off the picnic table
Side note: I read somewhere that he choreographed this scene
Crazy how he was my teacher for 3 years and I had no idea he was in this movie!
Be fit as look at his moves
I love the performance from the guy on the far right of the screen at 0:53.
He's clearly giving John Travolta the signal

She's the only one that turns around and says goodbye in the car. Seems like the "she actually did drown" theory pans out pretty well.

Grease:BEST MOVIE EVER! But I hate the flying car at the end

Me three... Although, I think it's symbolism because they're using the Grease Lightening car and they're driving off into the sunset.

I think they ran out of words when they wrote this song...
It's supposed to be this way on purpose.. it's non-sense syllables and harmony popularly known in the 50's as Doo Wop - hence the theme of the movie itself being set in the late 50s to early 60's though it was filmed in the latter years.
