I hope they let us fight enemies that were lore wise stronger but after the level un cap we can fight them, also it would be cool is some old bosses came out with hard mode types when we un cap level. My friend had a similar idea but it went a bit differently. He wanted to use the sunken railways in floor 2 as a means of getting to duke's 2nd secret lair. You have to search for key fragments around floor 2 to actually use the train and then it would take you to his lair. It would be a corrupted duke.
Adding the Central Luminant as a place locked by power creates the Khei problem, it gets treated as this much more advanced location that only sweats and tryhards go to to fight and splits the playerbase. The luminant imo NEEDS to be accessible whenever. But definitely should be locked behind a quest first. Imagine every faction having their own unique quest that unlocks the central luminant. - The Etris war could unlock it for being an ally of of the Etris or Authority faction. - A Quest regarding lord reagent could unlock it for Ministry - A Pushback against the Summer company could unlock it for the Ignition and Summer Company respectively. - A grand assassination on a noble/high power figure for the Knives - A Raid on the Authority Base in Starswept - [Insert Hive quest here] - A nomadic Journey with the Navaen tribes So on and so forth... However, as for CONTENT Specifically, I think they should add Raids, and I mean like Final Fantasy XIV style raids, that would be sick as hell.

Really wish deepwoken was more centered around lore. It would be nice if there were factions that can impact the world. Say for example all origins get reworked into factions that change the way you play deepwoken. Real-time events can last for a week where factions fight or do a objective. Winners have good loot, and change an area in one of the luminates. Maybe you can teleport there etc etc. and change the story of course
I love the idea of a world event that changes the whole game being there as well quests with actual storylines. Iirc the knives of Eylis have their physical hq in the sewers there, maybe we will get to see that big job Eylis talked about.
I think there should be two ways to access the central luminant. Either through a series of quests like you said, where etris drowns and you fight Lord Regent, or as a citizen of Etris who escaped the drowning and was taken in by the authority. (Authority Origin)
Make it so deepbound players start at isle of markor making it a psuedo to1 so I can actually fight againt things other than sharkos and lionfish when I first get in castle light
maybe it could be a central hub for players to chill, trade, and spar? or maybe it could be a faction recruitment area, like if you have enough rep with a faction, you can enlist and rise their ranks
The central luminant could give us Warmaster, a new attunement potentially, new mobs to fight and new ingredients for amor, new armor, new weapons, new oaths, new murmurs, new upgrades to murmurs, new ships, new bosses and new relics
I feel like arch is forgetting that most story games are played once but also can be really good, I personally want more lore things in deepwoken since the entirety of the game right now is to just progress, get that stupid "I've learned what I can from training right now" message, drag yourself to power 20, beat up duke 6-8 times and then gank. Central luminant could also be an alternate way to progress with different mobs and loot tables, that way there's a reason to go between the 2 to get things that you want. My biggest hope for central at the end of the day is this massive land based map as an alternative to the scattered islands we have right now, I really hate sailing it feels like it puts the already slow gameplay on hold.

-jericho (warmaster oath and part of the quest to beat lord regent) -talking to jericho instantly gets strength unbounded -training with jericho (needs high authority rep) lets the player get specific new strength talents (might become a req for collapsed lung). this might be the way for a 2nd unbound or smt for strength if we do get a lvl cap increase -maybe fighting jericho for contractor storyline, this would basically make the player choose between helping the authority or the ministry -obviously more lore on the authority -authority raid events -etrea/ministry raid event at markor? -authority vs ministry events (new gear) -authority origin (spawns u at markor or smt) (talk to jericho to get). probably to do with kidnapping gremors and -etreans as hostages and interrogating them if the player has thundercall and interrogation talents (would be a cool minigame imo) -helping train divers (markor) -new deepbound spawn (markor) -quests from all oath givers for rewards, maybe this would bring the player closer to awakening their oath to its full potential, quests will be based around certain stuff so theyre lore accurate. silentheart only gets the 15% dmg bonus after awakening and thats its awakening bc screw silentheart. quest with the lightkeeper at the lighthouse between central and eastern luminants to unlock access (more lore on lightkeepers and stuff too) -new gremor camp similar to meteor isle -central greathive, authority fighting to take it out (lifeweave trainer here?) -astral knight event (spawns literally anywhere on the surface) (those dudes that look like stone knights but stronger and could be spawned with a dev spec. basically they just fall somewhere and go on a killing spree until they kill a relatively high lvl player (15+ on current scaling or smt). when they do this they get sent back to celestia. lorewise these would basically be when the celestials cant decide whether to keep them or throw them away (like they throw stone and sand knights away) so they put them through a trial to see if they are strong enough. they can only spawn on players that will make them despawn if they kill them and will aggro onto them on spawn. kill for very good loot. they would have more moves (kinda like nightmare threshers have special moves) to prevent them from just being a stone knight reskin with bigger numbers and actually hard and exciting and stuff -new enchant that deals more dmg the more elemental status effects a target has (cumulative buff) and refreshes their duration thats what i brainstormed
when adding central luminant they should add a mechanic where guilds can pledge to a major faction within the game and fight over multiple points of interest in central luminant which will reward them with guild points and unlocking a certain benefits to the guild for example : adding a guild shop, the more guild points you gain the more stuff the shop will unlock you can buy like dyes, cosmetics, maybe a guild banner etc, also while doing this each individual gain their points on their own while capturing points and killing other players with different faction that they can use to in the guild shops, also add more rankings in the guild and the higher someone's rank will give them more benefits like faster capping time but because of these benefits when killed they give alot more points which means they will be targeted a whole lot more idk.
I feel like it would be REALLY cool if the central luminant added brand new sets of talents and/or important things on your build that you could only obtain there It would be really really cool if they divided a bit of the talent cards to be only obtainable through certain events on other luminants This would really force you to go out of your way to find new things in other luminants Examples: Make Champions Whirlthrow only obtainable if you get trained by the legionnaires, forcing you to go to the western luminant to obtain it. Also locking certain items such as the legion centurion behind that luminant. Make it so in order to obtain deepbound you must go to Markor as a power 1 and finish your trials Make it so the thundercall interrogation talents can only be obtained by completing certain events for the Authority I dont have many ideas right now, but i think this could completely revamp how you play Deepwoken and it would also make progressions take more effort due to how much time you'd have to spent doing so

For the Cidadel of Markor, a tournament for player's, would be a FFA, they can team up, beat the shit of everyone, or just sit there, seeing everyone fighting, but if they don't do any thing for 10 seg, or use tacet, a big skull would appear, and if anyone kill him, they get more points, if you die there you don't lose a life, but if you have the skull you lose one life.

Other Luminants should be for stuff like conquest and world events, they already talked about adding these. They can improve the sea and make it more challenging and spread content amongst the luminants giving a purpose for a "harder sea" and a reason to go to other Luminants
I think it will be a trading market kinda like trade hub in gpo with guards of the authority protecting the place and if you attack someone they will go after you and kill you
The Central Luminent should include some new mechanics that you can obtain there, kind of like how at around level 110 in Wizard101 you could get Shadow Magic. Something that adds to the base game but allows for like a little powerup. In this instance, if it was Depths related, it could instead send you to layer 2 when you die in layer 1. Not sure lore-wise how it'd work, but whatever. Best idea I got for the time being.
Imagine in verse 3, After Etris and Erisia sinks, you can find the Duke in the central luminant regretting his life choices, and then you do a quest with him where you duo Lord Reagent somewhere deep inside a ministry base (No throne, lets say that sunk with Etris)
I feel like a good way to introduce the city would be the inclusion of a new race that no one expected upon waking up after getting captured or getting taken to Markor after falling unconscious from exhaustion. Imagine a POV cutscene of your character waking up in a unfamiliar place and across from your bed, you take a look from the broken room window and see a silhouetted figure talking to a Etris guard and Authority peacekeeper who are arguing and trying to defuse the situation by stating that the grand inn is neutral grounds due to the drowning situation. Before anyone can say more, you open the door and the first thing you notice *is the person who was keeping order takes a look at you and you notice that their "face" looks like a cactus that was brought to life*
Now, I'm beginning to wonder what animal a new race would be based on. Most races in Deepwoken are based on animals. Felinors are based off of cats, Canors off of dogs and lions, and Vesperians off of beetles. I'm thinking of a spider or fox race.
I think it should just make the world bigger just act like the Luminant we already have just a big new place to explore and a bigger power cap would be nice some new bosses some lore made we could talk to the lightkeeper in the central Luminant lighthouse maybe we meet a new member of the Nine Prophets who knows only time will tell or not
i think we dont need to go above level 20 because we already are technically level 60 based on old deepwoken levels. It would be better to give us like talents needed to actually put up a fight against regent, then again arch said he wouldn't actually let us fight regent.

It's either map changes for everyone or just FOR YOU like something like with this gate at hive Those who didn't prevent great drowning will have 2nd map in the depths and possibly further story line quests will be there Those who did prevent great drowning won't have acess to 2nd map at layer 1 BUT will be able to in futher quests return the old king of etris So if you add such a story quest to limunent you need to: make a boss fight first completly new map in layer 1 add tons of new npcs and way way more

If you will have story line quest where you can prevent or cause great drowning...it will bassicaly change the map
What does that mean?
It's either map changes for everyone or just FOR YOU

Those who didn't prevent great drowning will have 2nd map in the depths and possibly further story line quests will be there
Those who did prevent great drowning won't have acess to 2nd map at layer 1 BUT will be able to in futher quests return the old king of etris
So if you add such a story quest to limunent you need to:
make a boss fight first
completly new map in layer 1
add tons of new npcs
and way way more
