This Sanditon British Period Drama Jane Austen love story is the most beautiful in my memory and one for the ages. It is superbly acted by a cast made in heaven and it must be finished as all great love stories deserve to be. Come on MasterPiecePBS, finish the story and make yourself truly worthy of the name MASTERPIECE.🌹
All Jane Austen characters get in the books a happy ending. I know she actually did not finish Sanditon but it would be against her style to not give them a happy ending. I hope for season 2.
Yes all her main characters have happily ever afters and it's just one reason we love her. Maybe that's the story another writer or movie will tell if they take up the creative challenge.

I saw this comment online and I could t agree more. It's like people are really using mob mentality to slam this series when its like....its an adaptation of an unfinished work. It's truly not the end of the world that its not exactly the way people expected it to be. Also, I think to me anyway, that it was made clear that the writer was setting the series up for more to come. I think people expected this to all be wrapped up in one season but in 8 45 minute episodes with all of what's going on, I dont think that would have been possible . I think people would enjoy this more if they didnt take is so seriously .

Best drama on tv, brilliant well done Andrew Davies for the screenwriting and leaving a cliff-hanger for a second series. If the ending had been anything else it wouldn't have kept us eager for more , hurry up for series two .

I know Sidney felt he had to help his brother out of debts. But it is wrong to get married to Eliza only because of her fortune. And it¨s wrong to leave Charlotte as she knows Sidney has feelings for her. Now she cannot go on with her life as she longs for Sidney!

Did Jane Austen get a good ending ? What about her brother Henry who became bankrupt ? What about her brother Edward becoming a widower with eleven children ?
She died before completing the book. That's y we were left with this ending. But who knows what we'd get if the writers took their liberty and gave ur a season 2. I wish we cud get one nonetheless

Season 2 Rich Eliza dies, Sidney go back to get Charlotte, Charlotte breaks a mans heart by going back with Sidney , ground hog day all over again. I dont want or need a Season 2.
According to Charlotte, a marriage without love would evolve in some kind of slavery so I think she wouldn't get married to any other man apart from Sidney, she rather prefer being single....that was what Jane Austen did when Tom Le Froy left her to marry another lady.
