Thank you for the tutorial! I was hesitating because I never used silk before and I really like the idea of using french seams for it! One tip: When you flip the flap to the other side before sewing the side seams, those side seams wont be seen through the opening. :) It should look like this before sewing:

intead of how you placed the flap:

|________________
______________|

What size needle did you use?

Probably ball point they come in packs of 3. The middle one is good but any would work. Bc they are round and pointy it will work on silk

Probably a microtex needle would work best on silks and satins.
