Big shout out to the currently 603 beautiful patrons who support this series and the channel! Without all of you I literally couldn't keep doing this : ))
When even the narrator became confused over everyone getting lost I thought to myself that is something I never saw in another anime and it is just hilarious!
I'm kinda sad you didn't mention one of my favorite "Zoro getting lost" moment - when they split up, Zoro of course instead of going south, thinks that he needs to right and then goes left.
His sense of directions is non-existent

"Until six years ago, I was God..."
"Did you hit your head, old man...?"
I love that scene!
Usopp panicking because Sanji ‘died’, which was handled as such a tense moment, only to have him be feeling for his heart on the wrong side is such a dumb joke, but it’s one I still think of when I remember this arc 200 eps later😂 Even the dedication to showing Usopp putting his hands in the wrong place right from the start
23:30 another thing I love about Robin is how RUTHLESS she can get when push comes to shove. She twisted his left leg completely around, broke his spine, and probably his neck too.
This was another awesome video. And (no spoilers) the impact a couple of these scenes are going to have later will be a sight to behold. Longtime fans of this series will know what I’m talking about.
Enel gives you the BIGGEST feeling of “how in the HELL are we going to beat this man” YET! Way more terrifying than Crocodile imo . Bro just instantly takes out Sanji AND Usopp with 1 VERY SMALL attack (as we have seen him make WAY larger ones i.e the attack in front of Nami) and then just leaves cause Gan Fall and Nami aren’t worth his time.. man he’s just so COOL. 🤣 100% my favorite Villain of “early” OP
Ah I love revisiting one piece with this series it makes me remember how much fun the journey is.
that little girls of the shandians can ear the voices too.... (save this info for like 800 chapter more)
The introduction to Dials as a tool, the introduction to Haki in it's proto state, the fact that both exist on Sky Island but that there are multiple ways to reach it... it really highlights how the early parts of the Grand Line are a learning curve for surviving on the grand line, and it feels legitimately like something that every rookie pirate would experience in one way or another! Exceptionally mad props to Oda once you realize that even *200 episodes in* the strawhat crew is still in the tutorial!
This part of the arc is peak Skypiea to me, everyone is all split up (like I said, reliable formula) and they're all exploring a strange island and fighting bad guys. It's always felt like the arc that truly best exemplifies the spirit of adventure that One Piece has.
Another amazing One Piece Saturday.
33:11 Based Yakuza mention.
I love Luffy and Chopper walking around with the sticks, it’s just such a “child being a big, brave kid” moment we see in a lot of anime, including slice of life series, where the kid who leads a team usually picks up a random stick and carries it like it’s their weapon or something.
Wow another good count break point.
Knowing how the next episode goes and all.
Good job next Saturday is never soon enough for these vids.
7:03 you'll notice the pattern of the snake in the background behind Chopper before we even see the snake in full.
Oh yah I just remembered that Zom 100 part 2 never came out because the last few episodes got super delayed
zoro and luffy both continuing to get lost by different but equally dumb reasons will never stop being funny
Remember that "blank century" thing. Because in like 900 episodes it's gonna be a major plot point.
6:44 Robin did leave it to Chopper since he really wanted to do it but was too shy, so she gave him an excuse like to a kid to go bother the grown-ups cause the other grown-up wants something with them. Robin knows how child's mind works for some reason.
🎵Will the real Slim Shady please stand up, please stand up🎵
Yes, Eneru is based on rapper Eminem, don't know if that means Oda likes him or not.
Small fact: It’s probably a mistranslation, since I believe the original Japanese said something like they “got rid of” Sattori. But the fact that his two brothers say they killed him, and the fact that he’s one of the few antagonists never to be mentioned or shown again, means that Luffy and Sanji apparently straight up murdered that guy in such a goofy way
zorro is the one who is so bad at directions he would easily end up in another fanchise hahah😂
Gedatsu is my favorite character from Skypiea. This dude is actually strong enough to be a top general, but is such an idiot. He forgets to speak when he needs to, rolls he's eyes back so he cant see, bites his own lip so he can't talk and forgets how to properly cross his arms.
Love your content! And the retrospective of Haki here is awesome❤❤❤
And with Mantra we have seen all 3 forms of a certain ability that becomes key to surviving the Grand Line.
7:42 Nola 🐍🩷
Personally I rank the 3rd opening as the best ever and the 4th as the 2nd best ever. Sadly I regret to inform you that while there are some really great openings in One Piece ahead I don't think any of them surpass these two and in fact some of them let's say do not have the same quailty as the first 4 in my opinion but hey it is not a problem to worry about for dozens of episodes so enjoy the 4th opening while it lasts!
While I like OP4 I think OP 5, 6, 8, 11, 13 and 14 are all above it
THIS early? Lets go!!!!!!
Fun fact. Eneru/Enels looks is based of Eminem
Awesome video as always and do please keep em coming. May I suggest Golden Kamuy for a video soon?
Sure, vote for it on Patreon
very minor spoilers ahead
What I wouldn't give for Pre-time skip Chopper to come back. I just get so sad seeing how hes treated now as a mascot. I miss all his different forms, he rarely uses them now.
As to win 5220... I do not agree.
Because to me that is proof of acid not poison and Oda's blurring of those ideas always bothers me.
So correct me if I am wrong but this is NOT a case of rectangle being a square; but a square not being a rectangle (or vice versa you know what I mean); where Acid is the Rectangle.
Pretty sure its not.
I know of no poison that burns chemically or Venom for that matter if that's a snake bite thing... now Venom and Poison I confuse which is which.
Fun Fact: Enels design was based on Eminem
Idk if someone said it during any of the previous videos, but Django was based on michael Jackson, and Crocodile was based very loosely off of Captain Hook from Peter Pan and hawkeye mihawk is very loosely based off of Dracula. There's also several characters thus far based and/or named after historical pirates & ship based explorers.
Please, never say "I'm so glad he's been taking these balls too" about Chopper again.
