Nice job on the tC talllights! Those TYCs were a dealer accessory for only a few years and are very hard to find now in good shape.

good start my dood for budget. Now from what i know, clear coat actually causes unbalanced light beam. So for additional protection, buff with compound, then polish, seal with ceramic coating, and final result PPF for final layer for ultimate protection. Also best way for making it premium for buck!

Thanks for the insight!! Tbh I actually knew about buffing and polishing, i was just so happy with the results I called it a day at 90% complete (lazy, I know!). But I never even considered ppf! I’ll have to try that combo on the next round.
Just to be clear, polish and compound after wetsand (instead of clear coat), or in addition to clear coat? I was under the impression I would be buffing and polishing the clear not the lens, am I trippin?

@@DaBadNewz I mean clear coat is paint same way as painting the car. Buff using compound fixes the layer of the coat and depending on product, which I know chemical guys has different levels of compound light to heavy. But since you put fresh coat from headlights, you just need to polish. If the coating is not perfect, then you gonna have to lightly buff it with compound to make it flush or nice. Then polish make it nice and new. Ceramic coat for keeping slip like new with protection from sun UV. Then ppf for ultimate protection. Trial and error my guy.

It’s the original one that came from Scion as an option. Found it at the junkyard. I’ve seen em online but the junkyard one’s are waaaaay cheaper. Hope you find one!
