    Good video. Have heard quite a few negative stories about Halls Creek, so on our last big lap gave the town a miss and just drove straight through without stopping.

    • @TerraRoundOz
      @TerraRoundOz  2 года назад

      Hi Jo King.
      Yes the poor old town gets a bad wrap, and on its bad days deservedly so, such a shame there is some incredible history around the town and some beautiful country to boot.

      @@TerraRoundOz hi Andrew & Lisa we enjoyed you video ,we will be travelling from Qld to Broome 2023 through Halls Creek& I have concerns, a friend had similar problem in Fitzroy River . Is it possible to by pass these towns without stopping to refuel.?

    • @TerraRoundOz
      @TerraRoundOz  2 года назад

      @@iandibley8032 Hi Ian
      If you carry enough fuel it is certainly possible as there are fuel stops south of Fitzroy crossing (Willare Roadhouse) and north of Halls Creek (Warnum Roadhouse)
      The distance between them is 680km.
      If you had to top up then Halls Creek 24 hour BP would be my choice, even though we had issues. Just lock all your doors and even have your wife stand at the front of the car looking back as a lookout. The reality is 100's of people stop in these towns every week and have no problem just every now and then you get issues and can be unlucky. Take precautions and you will be fine.

    Another great video, we loved Keep River and want to go back again. I have a question about your van. What are the weights, gvm etc. I’ve been looking on the Nova site as we like the layout you have and they don’t mention weights anywhere. Looking forward to your next vid.. cheers Steve

      For our van the weights are

      TARE 2369
      Ball Weight at TARE 220
      Glad you are enjoying the vids👍

    HI! Not sure if you have covered it in another videos, but when you talk about lowering you tyre pressure, how do you do this? We are waiting for our terra sportz to be delivered and i know they have a compressor for the suspension do you use this, for the van and the vehicle? Do you use a tyre deflator?

    • @TerraRoundOz
      @TerraRoundOz  2 года назад

      Hi Allison.
      To deflates the tyres I have two sorts of deflators. One is an ARB deflator the other are the Camp Boss preset deflators but in all reality you could use a twig to achieve the same result 😀
      I also have a digital pressure gauge which is very useful.
      To pump up the tyres I have a stand alone compressor I connect to the car battery with enough hose to reach all the car and van tyres.
      I am not sure what the Nova compressor is rated to but you really need a compressor that will do around 150 litres/min and has a 100% duty cycle or you will be there for ages trying to pump up all your wheels.
      Hope this helps.
      cheers Andrew

      Hi Dianne So glad you are enjoying the vids.
      I use a Gopro Hero Black 8 and it is mounted on a Gopro mount called " The Handler"
      The image stabilisation on the Gopro is great and once you get use to talking to a camera it does a pretty good job for sure. The Hero 10 has a rear screen so would make the job even easier (is on my birthday wish list)

    • @TerraRoundOz
      @TerraRoundOz  2 года назад +1

      Hi Robert yes it is a Bellman. we haven't really had a chance to use it a lot and work out how to get the best out of it.
      Do you have one ????

    • @robertangelkovski549
      @robertangelkovski549 2 года назад

      Hi Andrew, no I don't have one but was looking at getting one for our travels next year. We have a proper espresso machine at home that we cannot take for obvious reasons, so was looking at these as a means to make reasonable coffee on the road. I've done a bit of research and Bellman came up as a good stovetop option. I think they take a bit of practise to get good coffee though. Let me know how you go with it. Cheers, Rob

      @@robertangelkovski549 Will do, we have made a few brews with it and the coffee is great but the volume it spits out seems small for the water you put in, however I am sure there is a solution, we are in Kakadu so Internet is limited to youtube the answer.

      Cheers Andrew

    • @robertangelkovski549

      It may just be normal. A shot of espresso is not very big volume wise. Do you have an espresso machine at home?

    • @robertangelkovski549
      @robertangelkovski549 2 года назад

      Andrew, I was thinking that your coffee grind might be too fine, or it may be tamped too much, making it hard for the espresso shot to push through.
