Looking back to what seems like a simpler time - now incredibly 20 years in our past already.
Highlighting the celebrations that took place December 31, 1999 leading up to the arrival of the new millennium. Here we see a variety of the sights & sounds of the final hours of the 20th century,
ranging from comments by Rev. Billy Graham with Larry King, performances by Will Smith and John Fogerty, midnight in Newfoundland, Katie Couric interviews a man who reserved his NYC hotel room in 1983, and reports by Fox News' Tony Snow and ABC's Peter Jennings.
There was such optimism everywhere that night. Some things since then may have disappointed us, but as another decade arrives now, maybe we need some of that again...
