Along with the awesome accomplish with metalbending, we have mudbending, lavabending, sweat bending, sand bending and the lists goes on but I'm glad this show their more bending beside the four main elements
Jake Fielder I feel like lava bending can only be unlocked if your parents are a fire and earth bender, which Bolin and probably Guzan is too, and that fire bending unknown avatar.
Aang is probably the only Avatar that has been taught by great masters for his bending, Katara for me is a strong bender since she was able Blood-Blend in her age in such a short time, and Toph is no doubt the greatest Earth-Bender of All Time Zuko and his uncle both taught Aang in some ways, but they aren't great Fire-Benders, although they're both good Fire-Bender(In terms of peaceful Mind), they were able to teach Aang how to block Lightning As for Air-Bending, Aang was taught by he True Masters of Air-Benders, The Bad Ways(Trolling other masters with some good cakes) and The Good Ways(Spiritual)
I agree with Wilian. Avatar extras said that air bending was the most versatile form of bending...and that came from the creators of the show! And don't forget that it took the entire Red Lotus to take down one air bending master. I pick Tenzen in a fair fight against any of em.
Wilian Rodrigues I know this is a stretch buuuuuut there is iron in people’s blood stream not enough to fully move it like water but maybe causing clots and making opponent’s unconscious
They could refine metal in some way until the key components of earth can only be found in minute percentages wherein it would be hard to metal bend it. A pure metal without earthly elements or does have one but with little components of earth might exist if the writers wished.
semp224 it actually did exist, the writers did include it. In legend of korra it was shown that metal benders were unable to bend highly refined metals like platinum. That’s why when asami’s dad built the mecha suits for the equalists, he made them from platinum which was impervious to metalbending. And when red lotus captured korra, the put her in platinum cuffs which she couldn’t bend
"YOUR ONLY LIMITATION IS YOUR IMAGINATION" They can stop metal-related poisons by bending the metal from someone's body so I can't see why not.. there's a lot of theories that if the Avatar gets strong enough they can even bend the water in the air, and the energy flowing through the entire planet through the air to stop time (by cartoon logic, of course).
Earthbenders can't bend pure iron since metalbending is literally just bending the earth in impure metal. So no, they can't bend the iron in anyone's blood. HOWEVER, having earth enter your bloodstream is deadly and will most likely kill you. That'd be a deadly technique to have at an Earthbenders disposal.
And to think that she was only 12-13 when she invented metal bending (what the great king bumi couldn’t possibly do) makes me terrified of her power during her prime/peak
Toph would be a very mediocre earth bender if she wasnt blind. Her loss of sight enabled her to feel and understand the earth more than other earth benders
@@pepemiko Agreed. Toph being blind prompted her to learn seismic sense. It made her more aware of her surroundings, and made her discover metal bending.
Had she not been blind, then no metal bending. Her being blind was what helped her realize there is fine pieces earth in metal. She wouldn’t have been put in the situation to figure it out & wouldn’t have that extra sense to see without vision

Toph is my favorite of all time, she’s an extremely powerful women and earth bender, she’s also sm I can relate with (personality wise). Kyoshi is a very close second.
The metal bending technique Toph ussed in Atla is so primitive and underdeveloped that she has to physically grab on to the metal most of the time. It’s a really nice detail that I like. In tlok, u can see many different styles of metal bending employed by many characters. We have Lin’s and the republic city’s police force’s style that utilizes hook devices. We also have Kuvira’s style that involve bending the metal sheets on her armor.

Toph is unbelievably powerful. Imagine the beding knowledge in her old age, she created fluid movements in the earth without even moving and letting the earth move her as if she was bending with her mind not her limbs. I wonder if she managed to bend platinum or even take a mountain and moved it for the sake of landscaping, and I wonder if she ever made earthquakes for the sake of pranks.

Toph is such a badass, she invented a sub skill for earth bending which would lead to thousands of people praising her as the greatest earthbender in history just because she didn’t want to be in a box anymore.
1:38 We don't really know if Toph came to that realization and she certainly did not meditate until she felt the trace amounts of earth.
