    Good idea. Always nice to be able to reuse a piece of gear a different way. We have these straps for our hammock.

    Great idea Max. I normally don't like putting my backpack on the ground, this is much more practical.

    Max I've been passing this on because it's something I hadn't thought of. We all hang or packs at comfortable levels but my friend Cheezehead Chris brought up a good point as we were sitting around the fire at the fall meet-up. When we hang them high like that we should take out our first aid kit and place it on a bench etc near ground level. If we should happen to get seriously hurt or injured around camp we may not be able to climb up and retrieve it when needed. What are your thoughts on this? Something I never thought of for sure..

    • @HikeCamp
      @HikeCamp  2 месяца назад +1

      I keep my first aid kit in one of the pack belt pockets and it is easy to get to there even when hanging. My tourniquet is in my paints pocket so always with me. Thanks Chuck... 🎃
