having only ever played cammy I don't notice it bc I don't need it to close lots of space. for what it is it's excellent bc it's actually the fastest forward dash/drive rush in the game, just doesn't feel like it bc it closes less distance
I think people mash jab agaisnt cammy alot because poorly spaced divekicks are punishable by jab, so they arent really reacting to punish it, just mashing jab all over the place just in case they do get to punish something
Sometimes I do wonder what Capcom be thinking when they design the characters. Like did they really intend for Cammy’s lv3 to be able to punish a button press from full screen? Not arguing that it’s too strong or anything, I’m just curious. Were they testing and like, "Yeah , Cammy needs this!".
punishing zoning and being impossible to keep our is one of the core pillars of her character design in this game so it makes sense that her level 3 would be an extreme version of that. if somebody sees her buffering and throws a slow fireball that's a skill issue. she just goes from "don't throw fireballs at me" to "DO NOT throw fireballs at me". you could argue her anti-zoning in general is too ham for a character that has great buttons, pressure, and defense, but heavy knuckle and dive kick punish counter are more important tools. and for reference the window to punish us tighter the further you are away, so the design of turning her into a missile is definitely intentional.
Probably gonna be another two-parter, because people don't like blocking. Though I'm curious how many times he'll mess up the charged drill into level 3, or drop a combo with H drill and perish for it.
@@QGfk1 Ye when I played her on launch I felt I'd always get the target combo somehow, so I'd almost always do knuckle. The damage diff isn't too noticeable unless you're just doing cr.hp-hp-DP-level3. in pretty much every other situation it is kind of negligible.

The thing about Jamie is, his kit directly hurts him. He also is less than a full character at the start of a round. He needs to give up everything just to get drinks and his damage is piss poor until he gets said drinks. I got him to plat and dumped him immediately. The constant need to drink just gets way too tedious and his drive rush FUCKING sucks. I don't understand why they chose to make his drive rush as slow and bad as it is. There are plenty of characters that have much better buttons with absurd drive rushes. Personally, I think he's a badly designed character. Not as bad as Honda, but still bad.
Can someone explain to me why he says Jamie's divekick is good? Other than baiting DPs, I can't really find a use for it, if I hit my opponent above the waist I'm almost always punishable.
I'm not good at sf6, so take this with a grain of salt. I think it's because Jamie has a rare divekick that comes out of a forward jump, so not only can it be plus when spaced effectively, but it can change his jump arc, changing the timing on an anti air and making it harder for your opponent to effectively contest your jump ins. Add this to a decent aggressive ground game with rekka and standing heavy punch after a couple drinks and it increases it's effectiveness even further
Why isn't anyone interrupting your lp into lk, or even taking their turn after the lk? You show that option a hundred times a match and nobody did anything about it. I just played my first couple SF6 matches and I noticed the lights were minus.
Bro cammys design is SO much better in sf6. I dont care what the fgc boomers say "muh classic costume" she looked dumb af in it. Makes no sense with her military aesthetic, giving her a sporty aesthetic makes way more sense if you're going to show skin.
Finally, here we are with Cammy. I really wanted to main her, but after 150+ hours I just ran into too many problems. I found her incredibly inconsistent to play with IMO. From her poor anti airs to problems establishing pressure to her not getting many tools and properties as the rest of the cast (i.e she gets nothing off of CH 5hk) made me drop her for Dee Jay which spiked my win rate from 45 to 80.
She has problems but anti airs and establishing pressure aren’t them. She has a DP, a 5 frame air reset, back heavy kick that can convert into 4000 dmg combo, AND an air grab. Establishing pressure is literally heavy spin knuckle and EX divekick and once they start getting scared of that they usually just let you walk at them.
You might just not jive with the character. She's got really good anti airs and pressure. But hey one less cammy in the world is always a good thing to me lol she's just so lame. DJ is pretty cool this time around.

for the scrubs among us medium knuckle into lvl 3 is worth the few hundred damage for more consistency
