Been going through PCOS for 15 years now. It’s horrible but I’ve never had any issues with excess hair . I was always told I could never have kids, about 10 years ago I had a laparoscopy to have the cysts removed . 2015 I lost a good amount of weight and I ended up getting pregnant and having 2 miscarriages in 2016&2017 . In 2018 I was admitted to the hospital for an enlarged cyst. 5 months later I end up pregnant . And today I have a one year old and I’m blessed to say the least .

PCOS sucks! My weight fluctuates so much I finally got the gastric sleeve in August of this year and have already lost close to 50 lbs. The facial hair is awful! Also depression, anxiety, and insomnia are symptoms as well as infertility. I was told at 17 I couldn't have kids after my period stopped for months.
I'm glad to be off Metformin for insulin resistance. My boyfriend is in agreement with me to adopt a child.

I see that in your Friday night lives, people constantly ask you if you and Jay are planning to have a family together so it's mindful for people to have more understanding that these questions are pretty personal. Fortunately, there are so many ways to have children now whether it be in vitro, embryo adoption and so many different options. Please keep your head up.

I have PCOS too. It’s horrible and I do also have facial hair and gain weight easily. My weight is stubborn and so difficult to loose. I see my friends just cut out alcohol and drop weight. I literally need to work hard and two meal replacements a day to budge the weight, not even keto works for me. I had my only daughter at 36, with PCOS at 270lbs. It was a blessing and a surprise. Feeling you Shay! Thanks for been real and helping to share the struggle that is PCOS.

I’m 34 and have never been pregnant or even had a miscarriage I get so depressed feeling like I can’t conceive when God knows I pray for a child but I get nothing I won’t give up completely but I have gave up and tell ppl I can’t have kids and it hurts so bad!!! I mean I don’t have 30,000$ to pay for IVF but it’s like why am I cursed is how I feel!!! I pray for all women in my shoes I really do cause we get jealous and all feeling like we can’t have a child!!! I live in SImpsonville SC. I started watching your videos a few weeks ago & subscribed the same day. I’ve watched all of your videos now. This particular one, I shared several times. I didn’t know that so many people have pho’s until the response that I got back. You put you life out in public & the response is so overwhelming because we are all hungry for someone to be truthful & honest with us, especially now!! You are so confident & love yourself first, that’s why you make others know that you really care about them. Your partner is a blessed man to have you in his life. I’m 5’2 on a good day, 160 lbs. I weighed 230 a year ago. You’re in the right track. I don’t eat anything white. Absolutely no sugar. I drink only water- I add lemon or a lil vinegar. In my head, I feel like that cut calories. I know that you have a genuine relationship with God by the way that you talk. I believe that youtube is your ministry & you’re reaching souls w/o shoving God down throats. Also ❤️, intermittent fasting is really really awesome if you haven’t looked into it, it’s just an idea and it’s helped me so much. Basically I only eat from 12-8pm and fast the rest of 16 hours.

I understand how you feel. I'm 38 years old with no kids and not even married. It's so hard to even find a decent man to settle down with to have a kid with. Now it's getting close to being too late for me. I'm crying thinking about not having a family of my own.

Hi Shay! I’m 38 and was diagnosed with uterine fibroids when I was about 35. I wasn’t always careful so I definitely assumed I was infertile. At 37, I had my first and likely only child, my son. I feel like I am old as heck to be having my first child but I have always trusted that God will bless you in His timing. I never imagined being a new mom this late in life but I thank God for my son every day. Continue to be faithful and put in your work. He sees and knows and will give you the desires of your heart ❤️. I always watch but never comment but felt compelled to today. Thank you for your transparency. I promise I’m not coming from a mean or negative place just pure honesty . My experience with pcos had a huge part to do with my weight. It’s not until I lost 50lbs and started exercising that I was able to conceive my son. Our weight controls our hormones and our hormones in a lot of cases affect our fertility.

Plus Size Shay 👑 Glad you didn’t take it the wrong way. Weight loss is sooooo hard especially when you’re an emotional eater like me. It’s hard but it can be done. Just stay consistent even when you have a bad day just wake up and over. Diet and exercise is the only way no easy way out trust me I’ve tried every thing.
This is very true..I only noticed regular periods and more of a balance when I started cleaner eating in addition to exercise/walking 30 mins...I also weine myself off instead of going cold turkey with some things...i love sweets so maybe instead of cutting it out..cut back on how often you eat it until you build up not it at all and began sub something healthier like fruit or whatever your craving is.. bt the weight loss does help!

I was just diagnosed with PCOS but I knew I had it. The main issue I have is excess hair literally EVERYWHERE. Any appointment I'd go to the doctors or nurses would say "you're a hairy one"😂 And not just some fine hair I'm talking coarse, jet black hair. I used to be embarrassed about it because I can shave and then it's back the very next day. It took some time but I learned to accept it.
@Ima Germaphobe Ew You're Dirty Bitch! Yes! It was mainly black women. In their defense we had a closer relationship so although it may have been seen as inappropriate I knew they meant no harm towards me.

I have hair on my stomach chin lip its goin down my neck, legs, nipples. Its everywhere i have always had my period but never got pregnant. I even have been abused by men because i was not gettin pregnant. Its alot of pain but i prefer to be alone.

Shay seriously Sis I didn’t know how you could become anymore relatable! I was feel like I’m talking to a sister when you make your videos or on your live! The weight gain and the struggle to lose weight you have no idea. Also my Doctor had to get my nexplanon out my armpit sis cuz it moved so much. Another thing, my sex drive! Girl I had to explain to my boyfriend he would think it’s him too but it’s not it’s my hormones. It’s like one in a few weeks I’m in the mood. You really don’t know how thankful I am for you! You would be an excellent candidate for weight loss surgery. Talk to your doctor and get the ball rolling. It will bring your period back regular and your overall well being will improve. Your hormones will balance out. Men and women have both testosterone and estrogen. Being overweight throws it all off balance, which is why overweight men have high estrogen levels and breasts.

Shay, baby don't put so much pressure on yourself especially when it comes to having children. I cannot speak for anyone that has PCOS because I have never dealt with anything such as that but I have struggled with having a child. Now even at the age of 46 and still with no children, I have my days of feeling low and not incomplete. Anything is possible and I will most certainly keep you lifted in my prayers. Girllllll Shay that metformin did me the same way . .but i lost weight when they put me on the metformin and birth control together but my God that metformin had me shitting like crazy i think thats what led to my weight loss but dang the uncomfortableness of having to go so much times made me feel gross so i stopped them ....i still struggle with pcos even after having a hysterectomy( without ovary removal because of fibroids)i have and have had all the symptoms you have ...stay encouraged it didnt work out for me but im rooting for you hun be blessed 🙏🏿🙏🏿🌹🌹

Seeing u cry made me cry because I feel what you are saying .. i didn't have my period for a year & got pregnant out of the blue and lost it at 16 weeks ...after I lost the baby I had my period about 4 times after and I havent had my period since ..and that was last Feb 2019 im still trying to overcome the hurt I've had pcos since I was 16 .. I also experience the facial hair, and I don't have the highest sex drive .I've tried everything lost weight was taking metformin dr said it would help it balance & bring it back but nothing happened , it ended up making me feel sick ...I've changed my diet & now I'm going to try a natural recipe from my mother land that says you will have it once you drink it , it has garlic , ginger, clove & tumeric root in water (ferment in cool place for 2 days in an xlarge bottle ) then drink twice a day for the next 3 days from that bottle .. hope it works !! The outcome from others were amazing saying 5 days later a woman got her menstruation back after a year of not having it .. i will try anything now!!! Just want to be cleansed and have healthy eggs...i wish you all the best of luck & love on this journey we are on 💜💜💜 ill let you know if the drink has worked 😘

Shay, I have PCOS and so does my sister. PCOS affects every woman differently. My sister does struggle with facial hair, but I do not. My sister also goes through long time frames without her period, whereas I sometimes have heavy periods. We both struggle with losing weight.
Metformin is known to cause nausea, but it can be helpful for a lot of women with PCOS.
I heard that low carbs do help, but low carbs just isn’t something for me. I have decided to cut out red meats.

Hey Shay, I've been dealing with facial hair all my life, I really haven't had issues getting pregnant. However I had premature births, 3 in total 2 living children. With God all things are possible and Im going to pray for you, Im 50 now and you inspire me, ur so brave and very encouraging. I can't help to say I love you. Losing weight is a great alternative and Im on metformin and yes it sucks also Im a diabetic. I wish you would start a weight lose journey and I will and Im sure others will join you. I also need surgery already has had 2 one being a total hysterectomy. Im experiencing so much physically I can't believe it. I know a lady that has trouble with her hormones also and she is self conscious, because people say she looks like a guy in the face. She has cried alot about it, because she is complete woman. I don't know if you have ever heard of that, but it's very difficult on me. I have irregular periods and my hormones be out of whack. I have to take Birth control pills to balance them. I for real need a better doctor to run more test though. I understand what you going through.

Hey love i had pcos was told i wouldnt have children..i had to do a complete lifestyle change stopped eating meat started exercising daily 1 hr a day and added red raspberry leaf tea along with flax seeds and vitex vitamins to my diet and BAM i got pregnant i now have a 7yr old..so dont cry love bug you got this it will just take a lifestyle change ❤❤❤in the meantime ill send my 7yr old over you can have him 😂🤗

Shay, forgot to mention in the below message, to consider having an internal sonogram. It reveals a lot more and is more precise. The only discomfort is pressure as the probe goes fairly deep, but it’s very accurate. It’s better than any other kind of sonogram. Also, as an additional option, you can also consider freezing your eggs so that, should all else fail, you and Jay can have children that are biologically yours. You have a lot of time...don’t worry. Talk to your OB-Gyn about clomid or Femara, it helps with ovulation. Also they can do IUI with you to help the process of having a baby.

Girl I know exactly what you are going through, I am 53 and suffers from PCOS also. I dont have the darkening of the skin..Ive never been pregnant, until i tried IVF and it turned out to be ectopic . i then decided to be childless. My periods were the worst, heavy cramping and clots. At one point I bled for an entire month. it contributed to me being anemic .I had cysts on my ovaries and decided a few years ago to have a hysterectomy. Im doing great, have a loving husband who totally understands and support me..Oh and ive been married to him almost 20 years. Dont cry, It can be hard to deal with at times. but my sisters kids basically became mines, Im known as second mom. There is so much more to life than for me to worry about this one thing. Love you so much, now I know why.Be blessed!
