Thats kinda his problem in this movie, he sees the suit as more of Iron Man than he (Tony) is. Tony uses Iron Man as a form of protection, compartmentalizing himself rather than embracing who he is. This movie strips him of that and forces Tony to answer the same question that Captain America asked him in the Avengers "take off the suit and what are you?", in the end, Tony is able to come to terms with this and realizes that he (Tony) is more important than any one suit of armor. Its honestly a beautiful story, and its shown in a brilliant visual way with him jumping in and out of multiple different suits in the climax as each are destroyed by Killian, because the answer to that question has always been that with or without the suit Tony Stark is still Iron Man. Cinema wins mentions this as well in his video on Iron Man 3 I highly recommend watching it.

@@griffins5655 Yes, then Iron Man passed that lesson to Spider Man saying "if you're nothing without the suit, you shouldn't have it." I thought that was so cool he learned his lesson and wanted Peter Parker to be better than him.
I love how Tony's attitude towards kids changes over time.

GOD I love tony so much. He was always such a dad. Apologized immediately for making Harley feel bad about breaking the armor. Didn't take advantage of a kid who was happy with getting a weapon. He answered all his questions and didn't put Harley's ideas down because he knew what it felt like to be ignored. That's MY greatest defender always and forever.

His stealth mode idea was actually good and we should have seen Tony make such a suit given that he learns from his mistake.
A few of the Iron Legion had stealth technology, can't remember which ones
He uses it on his plane in spiderman homecoming
He used it in his one of armours included in party protocol (only real iron man fan know this)
Also used in his ship in homecoming
Not practical for combat, u can see how easily the stealth mode on airplane got broken in Spiderman homecoming

They is a theory that Harley was originally ment to have a much bigger role in the MCU but it got scraped once Disney got accuse to Spiderman.

These two had so much chemistry, familial/mentorial and comedic. I did enjoy Peter and Tony’s relationship, and loved his cameo in Endgame, but it’d be a lie to say I’m not a bit bitter that we didn’t get more of these two together, and that Harley/Ty likely won’t be returning.

Notice how even Tony refers to Iron Man as a second person, that because Tony's arc in this movie is him discovering the answer to the question that Captain America asked him back in The Avengers "take off the suit and what are you" Tony sees Iron Man as a different person, a person that he is entirely reliant on (notice he has a panic attack when he hears that the suit isn't charging). By the end of the movie Tony comes to realize that he doesn't need* the suits because the suits are never what made Iron Man special, Tony is!

@@obiromaniankenobi1136 There have been some bright spots. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was really good, and I thought Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was also good. I do think they're oversaturating things with the amount of Disney+ shows and movies they're putting out, though. They need to focus more on quality than quantity, give the VFX artists some room to breathe.

In the comics, following the absence of Iron-Man, Harley Keener who is natural genius as Tony Built his very own Suit called the Iron-Lad out of his own ideas and using his own hands, he will take the responsibilities and place left by Tony. Well in the comics.
