Me too - It's all in the name though, isn't it? 😁 Must be warping the spacetime continuum to stay so accurate... Either that or just a lucky Quartz crystal 😜 Cheers Gigachad!
Nice summary of the collection and the modifications. I was sure that “Time Distortion” was the closest in accuracy; the 5600 family is the most accurate (in my experience). There were no English subtitles in this video, but luckily for me your pronunciation is always clear to my foreign ears 😂
Thank you Fratellini. 👌 I’m glad you were able to see a trend in the results for the 5600 series! Some say there is pure chance to the allocation of Quartz crystals… but maybe there’s something more to this trend 🤔 I sincerely apologise for the lack of subtitles, my friend. I understand it reduces the accessibility for the video. Having them active is a priority of mine before all videos go live, but this video seems to be having a problem with processing them. I have never run in to this issue before. I will try and figure something out for you guys! 🙏 Your patience is appreciated.
Hi Fratellini, I've just finished captioning this video in all of my usual languages. I hope RUclips is able to process my videos in the future, but if it doesn't, I have a backup plan in place! Thanks for your patience, and viewership 🙏
Having gotten into Casio collection just about 4 months ago, I’m pleasantly surprised that I’ve ‘collected’ almost as many Casios as you (a celebrated reviewer) have in your collection ! It’s time for me to slowdown 😉
Wow - that’s quite the impressive collection size… and rate of acquisition! 😁👌 Haha, I must say I have enjoyed ‘slowing down’ a bit as it really gives you a chance to appreciate each watch. I can use my #WatchOfTheWeek series as a forced ‘speed bump’, since I know I’ll need to give each new watch at least 1 week of wrist time before I move on to the next. Best of luck on your collection journey! 🙏
It makes you wonder if it was a coincidence or not, right? Are Casio giving the lower quality Quartz to our wives and Partners?! 😨😂 Yeah looks like SKMEI can keep up pretty well 👌 Cheers for weighing in Mr RBB! 🙏
8:20 If you only pull the crown out by one click, it does not hack (so stop) the second hand, as this is not needed in date-setting mode. If you did overshoot to the second click, it would though, as that's the time-setting mode in which you would want to synchronise it. Unless your watch is an older or Vostok mechanical piece, in which case you officially can't hack the seconds. Unofficially you can by back-hacking, which works great on a Vostok but from what I've heard barely works on a Seiko 5. I am surprised by the inaccuracy of the Duro/Sailfish, though Casio is known for putting cheap movements from other manufacturers in their basic analogue pieces. The LF20W's drift by contrast does not surprise me, as it's animations and general retro release made it seem like more of a toy watch to me, with less of a focus on timekeeping. Neither did the GBD-200's accuracy surprise me, I know my GBD-100 is similarly accurate without a connection and from my GBX-100 modding adventure I know that their inner electronics are of high quality (when they don't fail to water ingress).
Cheers, RedWyvern! You might have inspired me to take this risk 😁 It is something I’d considered, but since I’d already fumbled 2 watches, didn’t want there to even be a chance of a third 😛 Ah, that might explain why the Duro was so inaccurate! I’m glad I didn’t fumble this one - or we wouldn’t have seen this haha. Fair call on the LF20W 👌 I know some people aren’t a big fan of this remake either 😅 Yeah - I was quite impressed by the GBD-200’s accuracy too! And it wouldn’t surprise me if the GBX had an identical result. 👌 It was so accurate that I started doubting… “Wait, did this thing connect to my phone and pull the time from there” 😆 But thankfully I had made sure it was fully unpaired and disconnected.
Thanks for pointing this out, Xenon! 🙏 So if I understand you correctly: aside from the normal time adjustment, there’s a way to calibrate the accuracy of the watch? 🤯 Would you care to elaborate on this?
@@goatreviews sure - look up quartz trimmer condenser. Mostly it is adjustment pot - very small that looks like another screw but a little different. Try on CA-53W first as on this I'm sure it is available (sadly on new cheap watches its not implemented).
Hi Iftikar, my brother! 👋 Thanks so much for the recommendation. 🙏 The SKMEI 2100 looks very cool 👀 Do you know if there are any differences between this watch and SKMEI 2091 in functionality? 🤔
OMG - You're right, Paul! 🤩 I love that movie, too! How did I not notice this? 😁 I wonder if it was part of his outfit for the movie, or if he just chose to wear it 🤔 Either way - Much like the CA-53W, looks like we have another Celebrity Favorite 👌
Thank for the experiment but it is an isolate case and not the "TRUTH". People at Casio company buy some quartz in the market and then use them on the watches. The quartz have no temperature compensation and the accuracy depends partially on what you do with the watches. Did you store the watches in the same place for the same duration or did you use this one or this one ? And next, you can buy the same model but with another quartz and the accuracy will change. Many years ago it was possible to tune the Casio watches but to save money this is no more an option. And if you want to know the accuracy of the watch, you are not obliged to wait for 2 monts, you can buy some lab equipment and know the accuracy after one minute or less.
Thanks for pointing this out Reno 🙏 You are 💯 correct! 👌 The Quartz for each watch can vary - and so my experiment findings should only be used as a point of interest. It may behave very differently for other people. Aside from 1 watch I wear each day, all of my watches remain in the same place, so temperature will remain mostly consistent for the collection as a whole. That’s fascinating that you used to be able to tune Casio watches! 👀 I understand there are other ways of getting accurate readings too. Perhaps I will add a disclaimer to my next experiment update that the results are for interest only, and may vary with other people’s experiences. 😁 I appreciate you taking the time to share this! 👌
Thanks for your answer. I mean, this is the result you get with your watches, but it is a kind of lottery, there is no rule like "this model is very precise and this one no".@@goatreviews
Oh man… me too, Jones! 🤩 Apparently the production cost would be much higher to mill out a metal case… and I’m not sure I’d be willing to spend a whole bunch more on this watch, as it’s already higher than the average Casio just for being “shiny” ✨😜
My apologies for speaking too fast, and not clearly enough. What I was trying to say was that the last watch (LF-20W) was “a full minute ahead”. (So just 1 minute, not 4) I have always made it a priority to have Subtitles / Closed Captions available for all my videos in a variety of Languages - and for some unknown reason this particular video is having technical issues. It’s been days since I uploaded to RUclips for processing, and Subtitles are still yet to come through. I’ll have to see what else I can do! Thanks for your patience. 🙏

Casio uses Miyota movements in their entry level analogs and the Duro is also using a Miyota movement inside.
some of those watches are adjustable (for example CA-53) so you can try to fix them (for better accuracy)
