I work at an automotive paint store, for the runs in the clear use a piece of tape. hold only the top piece of the tape as you don't want to press the tape on the run. just want the tape to barely grab onto the run . it'll leave a light texture when it dries but can easily be wet sanded out

Awesome job on this helmet. I love that there's not much sanding needed at the start with the bondo.
What's the type of cup you use to hold bondo in so it doesn't eat away at it and gloves? I want to try to thin out bondo but I'm afraid of making a mess with it eating away at the cup.
Regular plastic cup will work!

This may be a dumb question but what's the benefit of using Bondo and acetone vs something like Durham's water putty?

Hey I bought one of the phase one clone trooper helmets and it’s way to big for my head is there a way to fix that?
I just bought one as well and I can’t get the dome and the main body right to be able to glue them together. But I plan on just gluing padding in mine to adjust my head so it doesn’t move whenever I finish it
