Heavy infantry, but the imperial super commandos are pretty good. But what about the Special Strong Trooper version in season three of the Mandalorian TV show? I know they were more storm trooper, but I felt like their armor should’ve been mentioned. Still great video.
The Mandalorian protectors during Satine's reign were no joke, despite being from a time of pacifism. During the attack on Satine's Choronet yacht, these guys are shown blocking laser bolts with their staffs. At least I'm pretty sure that's what I saw, I rewound that scene several times.
Yes saw that too and it always left me thinking why these protectors were able to block incoming laser botls simply with their staffs but pre vizsla was unable to do so withhis darksaber. Imagine how powerful he could have been this way 😅
Mandalorian Commandos, Supper commandos, Imperial commandos, Protectors, Hell even the royal guard with staffs were dope. Can’t wait to see where they go next with their armor and culture of battle
Most people make videos from the outside in, not even stepping through the door of understanding, on mando matters. However, I appreciate this video for a few factors that show you cared to be accurate about them. Mando'ade (children of Mandalore) typically don't have ranks and it was a concept of the neo-crusaders and those with an aruetii'la (outsider-like) mindset that implemented them heavier than others within certain groups. Your evaluation based on typing of armor and armament was a perfect way to denote different styles of beskar'gam (iron skin) and mando'ade throughout the ages. I appreciated the touch to not saying Maul's SCs were the same as Jaster's, considering they were terrorists lol. Great work.
Crusaders and Neo Crusaders are my favorite and have the best looking armor. Same with the Mandalorian Heavy Trooper armor. And Canderous Ordo is my favorite Mandalorian of them all.
I think the reason Mandalorians are loved so much is just how unique and customizable they can be. Your not limited to 1 basic type, uniformity or color. You have all sorts you can pick from. You can mix and match all sorts of helmets, attachments for helmets, colors, visors, armor pieces, weapons, accessories and a lot more. Unlike clones or stormtroopers who can only have X amount of stuff or can’t wear certain cloaks or whatever. Mandos are the ultimate source of freedom for custom characters.
Maybe you can cover vehicles next, for example a video on walkers such as the AT-AT and AT-M6. There's also tanks like the AAT or the Juggernaut from the Clone Wars. Overall great vid!
The Heavy Infantry one is my favorite by far. I'm always a sucker for "knights" in heavy armor. Even in something like a Space Western/Fantasy story like Star Wars.
8:12 I vote Jango: A Star Wars Story Live Action Movie that takes place in the comics, Bounty Hunter video game, and chapter book memoirs before Attack of The Clones
I love the EU lore for Mandalorians and their ties to Clone Commandos and ARC troopers, and the Journeyman Protector's last stand against the Republic is worthy of a scene in a film because it must be such a dope scene. Filoni's changes always bug me because it makes out Death Watch to be great and has changed Mandalorian lore. Halfway through S5 he forgot that Bo Katan and her group were literally out their murdering hundreds of people. it is not like with the CIS or Empire where there is more to the story that makes it more understandable, these people were just straight up terrorists. They weren't even 'freeing' their world from oppression in the Siege of Mandalore, Maul's government was perfectly stable and wasn't unpopular or anything. Furthermore, Death Watch in canon wanted to go back to *pre-Ordo* traditions, and if you know your Legends then you probably know that that means expansionism and genocide, which is made worse because Death Watch is clearly portrayed as prejudiced while the pre-Ordo Mandos judged people based on their skills at war.
That's not right to excuse the empire or sith in general. They destroyed entire planets in terrorist attacks to strike fear around the galaxy. Maul's government was his shadow collective. There's no doubt he'd oppressed the population of mandalore with Almec as a puppet PM.
@@anthonychurch1567 This is just a whataboutism in reference to Sith and Empire so I'll just ignore that. The bit about Maul being a bad ruler huge assumption which can easily be countered by smaller assumptions backed up by plausible evidence. Maul's Supercommandos took heavy losses fighting the CIS, but the Mandalorian populace wasn't displeased by this, and it is implied that many new Mandalorians joined the super commandos in defence of their planet against the Republic/Death Watch assault. Also, if Almec was really an oppressive ruler, why would the Republic sign a non-aggression pact with him, especially when they knew that Maul was active on the planet? It is not as though his Shadow Collective threatened Republic dominance any more than the Council of Neutral Systems did during Duchess Satine's reign.
@@YayoHernandez-b1j not at all. Mandalorians in Legends have culture, language, traditions, history and so on, while canon Mandalorians are just nothing
@@YayoHernandez-b1j a huge number of inconsistencies, contradictory behavior of the characters in relation to all these "traditions", a huge number of unexplained details, and so on. If I were wearing it I think the coolest would be the style the Axe Wolves and the night owls wear in the Mandalorian would be the coolest, but I think it would be the coolest to tend next to someone wearing heavy infantry whose also big enough to pull it off.
Great video, until you spilt from Legends with a living Darth Maul. Disney's twisting of Mandalorians away from Karen Traviss' original intent is a shame. It's also likely that Clan Skirata used heavy infantry armor, from some references in the commando novels.
It's sorta weird to learn that Bo-Katan supported the Death Watch despite how brutal and immoral the beliefs they held were. I wonder why Sabine Wren gifted her the darksaber?
As someone who loves mandalorians and has since earlier childhood. What is wrong with attributing their modern popularity to baby Yoda? Disney wouldn't have made most of their good content if they couldn't sell toys to children and baby yogurt is clearly the moneymaker these days. I got to see mythosaurs on the big screen and see mandalorian culture given the respect it deserves due to a baby Yoda who is on the track to becoming a mandalorian. This is the way of mandalore, to conquer and grow through strength. To survive the worst of storms and to slay the dragon to prove one's worth.

I personally love the neocrusaders
Darth Maul's Death Watch Mandalorian

What about Mandos spear
what about whistling birds are those not weapons
@@Doomslayer32020probably not pure beskar

Darth Maul's Death Watch Mandalorian because those guys are loyal to there zabrak brother
Faaaacts
i like the original super commando armor/true mandalorian armor but the death watch seen in the mandalorian show has a rlly nice paint job

Death Watch had different armor during their war against the True Mandalorians.

Best one of the series
I prefer the Maul supercommandos and the imperial supercommandos, both for their own reasons, and then death watch is right behind the two
I love the true mandalorians
Hopefully can cover the rebel trooper variants. Quite a bit thanks to commander.

Time for the Rebels to Strike next
Before the sequels get any ideas they even exist

Now Jedis warrior type pls
Heavy Infantry Mando for sure
I have always been a fan of crusader
As a Mandalorian costumer myself, I have always portrayed a True Mandalorian.
idk bruh mandalorian female head gear give me very good vibes, i love them. any way, male head gear i love is boba fet type.
Neo-crusader are among us
Here's a suggestion for another video you can make clone vehicles Droid vehicles stormtrooper vehicles mandalorian vehicles
who is the all black one during the second imperial civil war ??

Broom Boy is my favorite!
Personally I’d go with obi wan’s disguise when he as maul super commando when he was saving the dutchess in the clone wars series
so this was both legends and cannon material cool and favorite is problem the true Mandalorian Supercommando
why did those neo-crusaders have yellow Lightsabers???
Hands down Mandalorian crusader's armor, Stormbringer variant.
I’d love one for the Mando clans as well!
As far as I'm concerned pre visla is the only true dark Saber wielder.
