I love how they made Seokchan into an actual beast and never reduced him into the pathetic shell every other manhwa turn the bully into. The fact that Seokchan being completely blinded wasn't the end but *only* the turning point really goes to show how obsessed this guy was. Also, there is no shortage of poetry in how after getting blinded, the only real way for Seokchan to win was him *clinging* onto Woosol as otherwise he had no way of telling where he is and where the blows are gonna come from. This man dedicated himself to getting revenge for loosing his eye, ends up loosing the other eye and instead of giving up refuses to stand down until he is literally too beaten to physically get up. Seokchan is a weirdo and an asshole, he is definitely a dumbass for obsessing over Woosol but you know what he wasn't? A pussy. Day and night, week by week, this guy dedicated himself to beating up the guy he believed to be reason he has no future (sure this was some ass backwards logic, but he is an asshole) and even when this backfires and leaves him crippled for life instead, he just goes "I AM NOT DONE!". Not only does the Seokchan makes a perfect subversion and a parody of a "revenge bully" protagonist, he also ends up being way more relatable and likable than the actual good guys he is supposed to parody AND HE IS MEANT TO BE THE ASSHOLE. 10/10 If only I knew Korean I would translate this glorious manhwa, but alas, I can't.
Yeah This is how you should do the bully revenge genre or at least how you use it to build your mc which this is a master class at you want to see the mc win not to overcome his bully he has long since won the internal battle now it’s just the physical battle and by having the bully be a actual match and having a reason to want to kill the mc it leads to one heck of a fight
He doesn’t end up losing his other eye at the end of the fight you can see he recovers his vision for a bit before getting knocked out, I’ve read some of the manhwa after this fight and he’s all right too thankfully I never really thought I’d be saying that to an ahole like him, but he’s a pretty cool character it would’ve been a massive waste if he was just permanently blinded like that

Fight Class 3 is pretty experimental. It's not even a bully revenge fantasy unlike other manwha/webtoons. Hell, the MC doesnt get bullied his friend does. When he does get back at them, it's not meant to be a cool scene but more of a tragic one given the state of the MC later in the story. It's like Baki if Baki abandoned his humanity to be like Yujiro. Actually, FC3 reads like a Yujiro origin story. While the MC is a tragic character who can be empathized with, he is NOT portrayed as someone who is meant to be inspirational or someone the reader should aspire to be unlike the MC of rooftop swordmaster. The MC's mental breakdown is more horrifying than cool or badass. The only other series like FC3 is a manga called Shamo, but the MC of Shamo is a bum who slacks off on his training and resets after each arc. FC3's MC is more of a menace because he keeps getting stronger.
