The older I get, the more I appreciate the concept of actually perceiving imagery, as opposed to simply seeing it. When art demands that you pay attention, not so that it can shock you with a twist or a scare, but to cause you to interpret what you see before you. It tells you 'this is more than a simple thing or action'. It is to be considered and filtered through a thoughtful lens. It brings gravity to things that our light-speed society might normally view as mundanity. The whole time I was watching this, I considered those, in times past, who saw a scene like this first-hand... who died for honor, but received none.
@@budgiezilla8248 did you grow up in a bible-thumping household or something? Don’t live a life where you’re so uptight about “foul” language. Cursing has its place as a part of naturally passionate expression. Some people overdo it, but it has its place.
This song actually makes me feel quite sad. This was the first song I had ever heard played live. When I went to see Placebo last year at the Manchester Evening News Arena, Minor Victories were supporting them... and they were so loud it scared the hell out of me (my first gig). Anyway, this song upsets me because, not only do I now like it, but I'd never heard of Minor Victories before... so I had absolutely no idea that they include Rachel Goswell of Slowdive (who I love) and Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai (who I also love). So I completely failed to notice that I was, in the misst of the noise, witnessing two members of two of my favourite bands performing live TOGETHER BEFORE MY VERY EYES... oh well.
THIS SOUNDS REALLY GOOD. i usually get pessimistic everytime i hear the word 'supergroup' because most (not all) supergroups released music that are below my expectations of them. but this, this perfectly blends Slowdive - Mogwai - Editors. this is how i imagined this band would sound when i first heard of the news.
I was at the concert in dublin on last saturday and you guys were epic. We were all initally there for Placebo (who took my breath away) but you guys gained two new followers. I was at the left of the stage where brians mic was and your bassists area. I had the nirvana jumper on ahahha, i was right behind the barrier next to a small red haired girl. Epic show!
I'm ashamed to say I never watched this because I always thought there was nothing happening. And I don't get ashamed often😂 Beautiful song and interesting video in the end

thank you. one more on the train. we're headed towards evoultion, scientific advances and artisitc expression is the fuel
In simple words...analytical thinking. We all should be teaching our children this. The question why is a good start.
nah m8, you're looking too far into it, my g just wanted to have cool looking samurai

Thank you Minor Victories!
👍🏼😄
I'm so hyped by this project. Please do release similar stuff. This is fucking gorgeous.
***** It sounds like the perfect evolution from shoegaze I could think of. Rachel's voice fits perfectly with the uptight and fast instrumental.
***** And yes, the violin is critical. But the way the beat grows before and after the violin work kicks off is what makes it so great.
No need to use bad language.

Just seen your support gig for Placebo. You just got a new fan. Sharing the vid on Facebook
So great to hear Rachel Goswell's voice again! And new Slowdive on the way too! Add Editors and Mogwai to the mix and you get perfection...
