I have 4 gaming systems in my office. My grandkids love to spend time with me. My personal rig is 10600k/3070 and the rest go as follows: 11600kf/A750, 12600k/6700xt, 13600k/3070, My Intel A750 surprisingly runs very well at 1080p, while all the rest are at 1440p. My 6700xt runs neck and neck with my 3070's.
Hello! I'm a recent sub to your channel. Keep up the great work. A small correction though. At 07:50, the label on the left shows 1440p, but the graphs are for 1080p.
One key spec that should be mentioned is that the rtx 4060 ti only has a pcie gen 4 x 8 link as opposed to the rtx 3060 ti's gen 4 x16 link. These extra 8 lanes do make a difference if you were to run either of these cards in a pcie gen 3 system.
@@DannysTechChannel True but most people I feel that are in the market for a card in this price will most likely be looking for a drop in upgrade and will most likely be on a 10 or 20 series based system which is gen 3
@gunnut090 If you are running it in a Gen 4 system then there will be no problems at all, you will get the full bandwidth that that card is capable of. The problem comes when you go to run it in a Gen 3 system, you are effectively cutting the bandwidth in half and it will be running in Gen 3x8 which is the same as Gen 4x4
maaaaaan everyone talking about new GPUS.. am still rocking an i7 6700k - 16GB 3000Mhz OC to 32000 - MSI 1070 8GB !!! lol it's SOOO expensive to upgrade! not sure if am better off just to buy a PS5 Pro next year and just keep this Rig for War Thunder and world of warships ! be greatful if you are ABLE to upgrade lol.
@@michaeljamesm yea mate it's s so OP now !!! i'll keep this rig until i get my Laptop which is slightly going to be better than my desktop ! now the question is DO i wait fot for the ps5 Pro which will be out in Sep 2024 or just go buy one now ? i am tempted to look into series X as they got a better online game store than ps store
Great video. I just want to ask im looking to buy a 4060 ti or even a 4070, but im unsure of the best CPU to pare with one of these 2 Graphics cards. Do you have any recommendations? 👍
I’m not buying a new card right now, I’m happy with mine for now, but as much as it looks bad +$100 did not seem like an expensive increase from 8GB to 16GB. And running the 8gb card against the 12gb 3060 oc right after saying to not even consider the 8gb 3060 model sounded like a bit of a stretch and would have been a bit more fair of a comparison if it’d been both 8gb cards from both generations or both higher gb models of the ti
The 3060 8GB is a completely different card than the 3060 12GB. It’s not just an increase in VRAM. The 4060 Ti 8 & 16GB are the exact same with the only difference being the VRAM so their performance in games will be the same until you hit a vram limit on the 8GB card and get stuttering
The only GPU in your review with a 550W PSU requirement was the 4060 Ti. All of the others need 650W. What is my best option to upgrade from a 2060 Super in a Dell desktop with a proprietary non upgradable 550W PSU? I don't have $2,500 to build a new computer from scratch.
I honestly wouldn’t upgrade. Unless your PC isn’t doing what you want it to. You’d be side grading with anything that runs on a 550w or less power supply. I’d suggest just using what you’ve got and saving up for the next build
It’s a shame Nvidia and AMD butchered their lineups, jacked up their pricing while altering their sku naming. It’d this GPU was labelled as intended as a 4050Ti and sold for ~$249 it would’ve been a great budget banger for many lower end pc builds 🥰✊👍🥳
I'm running a ryzen 7 3700x at the moment with an rtx 3060 12gb, on a Gigabyte Aorus B550 Elite v2 MB with 32gb ram @3600Mhz, but after christmas I'm going to upgrade to a ryzen 5 7600x, what gpu would you use with this cpu, if I had to upgrade my gpu? or will my 3060 be good enough to run it? I also have an 850W psy at the moment too. Thanks in advance
You’ll be in a great position around the holiday looking to upgrade. With the 7700 XT coming out and 7800 XT also, that will put pressure on Nvidia to drop prices of their 4060 Ti and 4070. Only time will tell what the best option will be. I’d definitely upgrade the GPU too if you can
Hi i just have a question, Im trying to get an upgrade from my 1060 to a 2060 The 4060 TI is the same price then the regular 2060 im wondering if its worth to get the 4060 TI for the same price other then the 2060. Or just anyother graphics card
I wouldn’t be looking to purchase a 2060 new in 2024. You could find good deals for a used 2060 but if you’re only going for new, the 4060 Ti would be a big upgrade over your 1060. What CPU are you running?
@@DannysTechChannel I dont know if this answers your question but i currently have the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor 3.60 GHz ( also sorry for the late response )

Hmm.. seems like 4060Ti 16G is still better option than 3060Ti / 3060 12G despite it's terrible memory bandwidth. It performs better ( 34% faster than 3060Ti and 176% faster than 6700XT in real Ray-Tracing ) and also it offers +4GB VRAM ( 16G ) also it's more efficient by ~40W for extra ~$100. And the 6700XT wins overall but only if you need it for gaming. Please include Blender Benchmark, Octane Benchmark and D5 Render Benchmark in future.
According to MSI's own testing(a partner that sells these cards), the 16gb model is 3% slower than the 8gb model. And what are you smoking about 34% faster than the 3060ti? It sometimes gets less performance. It's performance is about in binning/error range compared to the 3060ti. So if you want to pay $50 more and a cutdown bus compared to the last gen 3060ti, I have a bridge to sell to you. And since it's so cut down, it still isn't good in the productivity.
@@TonyChan-eh3nz In the productivity like rendering the bandwidth doesn't matter also that's why you can run GPU's on x1 lane without noticeable performance loss. In games w/ Ray-tracing like Minecraft or Quake it would probably be closer to that 10%. Ofc for gaming 4060Ti is just not worth it over 3060Ti and especially over 6700XT.
