  • Pullman (/ˈpʊlmən/) is the largest city in Whitman County, located in southeastern Washington state within the Palouse region of the Pacific Northwest. The population was 29,799 at the 2010 census, and estimated to be 34,506 in 2019.[6] Originally founded as Three Forks, the city was renamed after industrialist George Pullman in 1884.
Pullman is noted as a vastly fertile agricultural area known for its many miles of rolling hills and the production of wheat and legumes. It is home to Washington State University, a public research land-grant university, and the international headquarters of Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories. Pullman is eight miles (13 km) from Moscow, Idaho, home to the University of Idaho, and is served by the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport.

Looks like a lot of other college towns where the college is literally the only thing drawing people to the area.

Yeah, Moscow is a few miles east and is home to the UI and its way nicer. Also its the true pea and lentil capital

Okay, just because the city folks still have a festival does not mean we're the pea and lentil capitol of the world! That may have been true back in the 90s, but Whitman County is really the wheat capitol of the nation.

It's not depressing...the roving security lady smiled when she gave me a warning. She said sitting in your car at WSU requires a permit. So she offered me a warning but ensured me it would cost anything..

Eastern Washington is depressing and isolated. Even Spokane has a weird, forgotten feeling. Hard to put into words.

Looking to relocate from Pennsylvania out to California but would make it Washington if I have a place to land in exchange for helping with the bills. I spent most of 2012 in Bremerton and Port Orchard and have been stuck on the East Coast ever since.

@@kiranishrovsky520 I’m from Kazakhstan. I was calling to WSU. And ask them about cost, and they sad that 1 semester for international students will be 22000 $. For one year it will be 44000 $. I will study 4 years... and it’s expensive. But I was searching in internet about this university. And people say that it’s one of the most cheapest universities in Washington state.

Although, США’s college tuition is overall expensive so even its cheap for America, it is expensive worldwide.
There are a lot of scholarships available that you don’t need to pay it back, you can try contact them and see if you’re eligible
