Another great aspect of it is that although everyone chooses their card at the same time, since the initiative order may change in unanticipated ways, you may choose to place your card in a different spot than you originally intended by the time your turn rolls around. I love this flexibility!
When I saw this grid mechanism I was really put down as it is a mechanism I have had in one of my games I designed many years ago but haven't had either the courage or confidence to fully promote it. I now see it in a different light and feel even more confident in my own game. Can't wait to see how this game plays and hope the mechanism in this game can help me promote my own game with a similar grid selection :)
Glad you are enjoying your time in Naviri!
We are! Thanks for creating this vast adventure. :)

The action grid is working out as an easy on ramp to more complex game decision space.
The grid is great....gets a bit harder to make a decision as it fills up and you need to remove the cards.
