What size ferrules are you using?

Hey, what is the name of the crimping tool you use for the ferrit?

Are the crimp on ferrules necessary? As an industrial electrician for 40 years, I assembled countless cords and never used crimp on ferrules. But I did always make sure that every strand was properly inserted into the screw clamp. I would never ever use a power tool to tighten the wire clamp screws!

Hello, sorry for the late answer. We use them mostly to keep all the wires (320 of them) of the conductors together. Without the clamps some of the wires can be left out by bending during the process. Hope that helped! Have a good day :)

Your question should be WHY the ferrules are necessary and what the implications of introducing ferrules and the additional contact points.

In the EU you can´t sell the cables without the Ferrules. It´s a standard. You are also not allowed to solder them.
