What a gift to have found this. Thank you, Ross. I loved every minute of your 28 years as well. I ❤ Vin. RIP, voice of my life. I'm not crying because it's over. I'm smiling because you happened.
I grew up listening to our beloved Vin on the radio in Brooklyn, until the day he waved so long from the booth, his booth in Dodger Stadium... I and my children were blessed to meet, and chat with Vin several times as the team traveled....to b there in person with him, to listen to his blessed voice, gave us all goose bumps....to shake his hand and thank him, was the hilight in my life, and to have my children be there also..".the man is ,was golden"...in al ways...loved the tribute to Vin frm Kev. Coster.. beautiful...also Ross Porter,Vins, compadre in the booth for awhile. How blessed we Dodger fans to have Vin and for soooo long...no one can ever, ever replace the best...never...when you need a moment of peace and happiness, think of Vin,his voice explaining a great game...He made all our boys games great💯❤️🇺🇸☘️ .rest in peace Vin🙏
What a blessing to get to hear these two growing up. Being a Dodgers fan is the easiest term to cheer for. Thank you Ross. I agree that this is the Best Interview of Vin.
I grew up listening to Vin Scully call the Dodger games. My family and I have lived in Little Rock Arkansas for over 30 years but we are die hard Dodgers fans.
It was thanks to Ross that I was able to meet Vin. To meet the two voices of Dodger baseball that I grew up with in the same day was absolutely magical.
A little note from the 70's Ross Porter was the sports anchor on channel 4 NBC in LA. Tom Snyder was the news anchor and Kelly Lange did weather. Tom and Ross would always crack up (laugh) on the air. One of the best local daily newscast in southern cal history. Vin, well he was the GOAT. RIP
An excellent interview by one of the few men who can match Mr. Scully for grace and kindness. Thanks for this treasure as we remember Vin at his homegoing.
Many beautiful memories of Vinny as broadcaster. I grew up in the 80s, a time when baseball had among its greatest moments. And he was there to call them. Los Angeles and baseball indeed were blessed.
Ross, my condolences go out to you on the passing of my fellow native New Yorker and broadcaster in Vincent Edward Scully whom we will always remember! He set the standard of broadcasting excellence and so did you! My condolences go out to Vin’s family as well! Now he’s reunited with both of his wives, his son Michael and all the legendary Dodgers who passed before Vin! I still hope for a portion of the success that you two have had! God Bless both you and Vin!
Ross and Vin thank you. You were there in the background for most of my life providing stats, stories, history, humor, and most of all continuity through everything. No matter what happened in life, the Dodgers and you made it all a little easier to escape reality. Thank you.
I remember when it was Vin, Ross, and Rick in the booth. They would tag team one another in and out of the TV and radio broadcasts which were at the time separate.
Just had to hear you voice one more time sir. You mean so much to me and my family not only as Dodger fans, but also for your life wisdom. God bless you!
Talk about memories! I remember Ross when he was sportscaster at L.A.'s KNBC 4 in the '70s through the early '90s, how genteel those days were compared to today. What can anyone say about both he and Vin besides being great gentlemen and lovers of God and the sport. I miss listening to the both of them, having been a Dodger fan since the early 1970s. God bless you both.
Mr Porter! You should still be a Dodgers announcer. No one can replace Vin but Ross would have kept the line going at least since the time Vin retired. Great interview.
Man what a Beautiful Pair! Who knows why Ross was let go as he still wonders himself. I listened to them both as a kid. Both painted a most sureal picture that made us feel as if we were at the park eating dodger dogs and smelling the fresh air. Thank You both....!
What a Life so Graciously LIVED!!! A man's man! Knowing God's Great Blessings upon one's life is how this Great Sportscaster rolled! Well Done Mr. Scully, you will be missed... Rest in Power Mr. Vin Scully...
If baseball and the Los Angeles Dodgers ever needed deserving of a saint, they got one now! Vincent Edward ‘Vin’ Scully! God said, “Well done! Good and faithful Dodger!” ⚾️
If you’re not in California it may not be easy to understand someone being the voice of your 70s80s-life by his being on parents car radio all drives then at gas stations and markets&neighbors gsrage radios vh he comfortably enveloped childhood In a Fred Rogers kind of way it may not be for forever but but as fast changing time is now he mus’nt be rushed over
I look forward to going to Heaven; I am looking forward to meeting both of these two gentleman. I want to tell them my story about how baseball saved my life.
the great ross porter

Ross Porter and Vinny, bring back allot of memories of my childhood. I would fall asleep many nights listening to these men on my small radio.
Southern California was so fortunate to have those voices...wow
What a blessing to get to hear these two growing up. Being a Dodgers fan is the easiest term to cheer for. Thank you Ross. I agree that this is the Best Interview of Vin.
There will NEVER be another Vin Scully. Greatest sports broadcaster, of all time.
What a gem of a man!

A gem of an interview.
Ross - Absolutely fantastic interview! Consider yourself as blessed as Vinny!
Vin is legendary, no question; however Ross Porter was a Fantastic baseball announcer as well. These two, plus Jerry Doggett, were an amazing team.
Miss Ross calling games. He was very good. My 2nd favorite:)
Love you Vin!
It was thanks to Ross that I was able to meet Vin. To meet the two voices of Dodger baseball that I grew up with in the same day was absolutely magical.
Brilliant!
How does this not have more views? Such a great interview to see the true humility that Vin had
Two great voices. Two great men.
The Dodgers screwed up when they didn’t keep Ross with the dodgers either on tv or radio…
Big time!
Magnificent!
Ross, Thank you! Both you and Vin are sorely missed!
This is absolutely wonderful. Thank you, Mr. Porter.
I had to come back and watch this again....God Bless you Ross...God Bless Vin Scully

What a blessing to have lived during these years of greatness. The loss of Vin Scully will be felt for generations to come.

Soooooo many other questions I would have asked!
But still, two of the classiest men in sports!
That was fantastic Ross! So good to hear you on the radio again today.
Thank you Ross for all the memories I grew up listening to you and Vin Scully on the radio and watching games on TV.

Two of the finest gentlemen to ever grace the airwaves. Los Angeles has been blessed.
My childhood= Vin, Jerry, Ross, big D
Ross “Fucking” Porter! Took over the radio broadcast in the second inning and did a great job.
RIP Vin Skully. "He will be Missed but never forgotten." Gibson

All we need is Jerry Doggett and we're all complete. Vin is the best. Thanks Vin.
He said very debatable very debatable! 😂 😭 damn! Super humble Gentlemen! Thank your Vinnie!
The two greatest announcers ever! I enjoyed listening to them call Dodger games for most of my life.

One just feels better simply by being the same species as this man. Gives me hope for all of us.

I look forward to going to Heaven; I am looking forward to meeting both of these two gentleman. I want to tell them my story about how baseball saved my life.
Ross, when was this interview recorded? It sounds like it was when Vin was still in the booth.
Yeah, the behind the back play was Chase Utley in 2016.
I’m guessing it was somewhat recent, as Vin mentioned losing his wife.
@@jefffisher6512 He mentioned losing his first wife, not Sandy.
