Haydn is the father of the symphony. His music is amazing in harmony, grace and elegance. Viva Haydn a true genius of music that gives us unforgettable moments of pleasure and haunting music. Bravissimo
Joseph Haydn...
LDC
Since it is very clear that he is HAYDN and I am nobody... I am going to dare to make a criticism: At minute 4:15 a beautiful progression begins, but it is only heard twice, because at 4:21, instead of continuing and taking us to ecstasy, he cuts it off abruptly, leaving us wanting to keep listening to it. Forgive me, Papa Haydn, but... that should not be done. Maybe a bit like The Sound of Music that part? Does anyone agree with me?

What a lovely adagio
Gabriel Fromyhr isn’t it? Haydn at his starkest, barest expression. Sounds like grief to me.
@@drdanielott Good Grief!
