I love it!!! Tried to teach my grandkids to strut Sunday night (ages 8,9,11 and 5). Oh we had some Fun. Stuck in Pittsburgh the last 5 years🥴. . . Told grandkids You got Philly in you!!! You have to strut!!😄😄
I love saxophones yay !!! I was in South Philly in 1990 partly because you were there, had the most delicious Philly sandwich there & saw Betsy & Ben's places.
Great to see these guys have fun. But will groups such as this ever fully integrate racially/ethnically? Don't mean no harm by asking. Jus' askin, you know.
Why do they have to infuse something different into what is wonderful the way it is? Other races have their special ways of expressing themselves. IMHO, they are appreciated by those who are attracted to the specific "flavor." What is wrong with that? Do all people like vanilla ice cream, or liver, or any other food? We all have different personal pallets. I happen to love string bands just like they are, and it is obvious that they love it too. They are truly passionate about their hobby.
@@lolee1234 Didn't say ''they have to''. Only that I asked if they ever will. Nothing wrong with integration as variety is the spice of life and integration is strength.
@@CurrabegOb Hey pal -- I know of certain people in Philly who are possessed of a darker complexion and who have told me they tried to become included but were not welcomed. Not being of that City, I can only go by their word. That's not "woke" but is truth.
You can see the love and commitment all these members have. As growing up in south philly, it’s in your blood. South philly string band is the best!

I’m teaching my grandchildren too. I say they’re half Philadelphia and half San Diego.
It's that time of year again. I miss Philly this and the cheese steaks most of all.

Banjoes in lieu of drums …
You are nothing like Jimmy, so don't try to be or even imitate him .
