This is one of my favorite slow songs by Selena. In her songs you can always hear and feel her emotions that she puts into the storytelling. I cry everytime I sing the chorus because I was in a toxic relationship for four months and we broke it off a week before my 27th birthday back in January this year and turns out that he didn't even love me at all and he was cheating on me with four other girls. I love how Selena's music always calms me down and reassures me that there are always better things out there just waiting to happen for all of us we just have to give it time. Of course not all men are trash just majority of those who don't care about others feelings and don't give respect but expect it in return. Selena is my role model and I aspire to be like her every day by being myself, loving myself and for being strong. She's my mentor when it comes to my singing and I have always looked up to her since her very first album release.
