Sorry, only just spotted this message. I'm not sure about this one, but I've made one very similar a few years back and I used spruce wood for the framework of the arms and the cars about of Slaters Plastikard (Slaters also do chequer plate in Plastikard too). Hope that helps!
@@amusementsrevisited I wish I had gone with using hard wood for the frame work and then topped it with plastikard!. I have ordered some hard wood strips and panel to make the arms and centre. I feel the plastic won't be strong enough!
@@amusementsrevisited Twister is on hold!. I went on to an Orbiter which is now on hold (3d printer issues). Now making an Octopus ,no 3d printer required.
