- Today, we drive and review my very own 1976 Alfa Romeo GT1600 Junior! Part of the "105 series", this classic Alfa Romeo model started life in 1968 with the Giulia Sprint GT and had a 10+ year production period that ended in 1977. Distinguished by the 1300, 1600, 1750 and 2000GTV models, all 105 series Alfa Romeo have a barky 4-cylinder double over head cam engine with twin carburettors. In this video, you will also find out more about my personal story with this car which involved a long history of restoration, selling, and repurchasing, enjoy!

Thanks for good video. I have been owning 1969 1750GTV Mk.1 for 35 years since 1986 inJapan. I have seen hundreds of Giulia in Japan, but I believe both this blue color and 2000GTV face on 1600GTJ of your car are very rare. Nice!
thank you!
No, no, no, it makes perfect sense that you bought it back despite the accident.
105s are enduring affordable classics. I'm fortunate to own a '69 1750GTV & a '74 2000GTV, which has the same front arrangement as your car. There's nothing wrong with double clutching on down shifts, it's fun and I even do it on my 2011 Mazda 3 SP25 daily driver. Hi from Oz.
They are great cars indeed! Thanks for watching!
I own a classic MGB roadster from the 1970s that I learned to drive in (yes, right-hand drive). I agree with your comment that you "feel" the car when driving. Thanks for sharing your Alfa!
Thanks, glad you agree!
There will never be another 105.
Unforgettable Little stroke of genius.
It's absolutely amazing what this car has achieved.
Just beautiful bro, take good care of her! ❤
Thank you!
To be accurate, the Unification model in 1976 is actually a 115 series instead of the 105 series.
I guess I'm kinda off topic but do anyone know a good site to watch newly released series online?
Los Alfa 105 son unos de los coches más bellos de la historia. Me iré de este mundo con la ilusión de haber tenido uno. Que seas muy feliz con él. Forza Alfa!!!
Beautiful car and fascinating story!
Thank you, Allan!
Beautiful car.
I enjoy the way you present yourself, and your car.
Thanks for your kind and encouraging words!
Beautiful! I would snatch it if I see a listing too.
Beautiful, and the Nautilus is a perfect match!
Thank you!
Hahaha well done!!!! I can feel that you really love this car!!!! You should review more of your own cars!!!!
Ps. Ur ex cayman R is for sale too will you buy it back?
Thanks as always man! Naw the cayman asking too high
Great vid my man.
Great video, love your passion for alfa romeo
Thank you!
Very nice Alfa
Amazing video, thanks!
Well done very lovely color and in superb condition
Thank you for your kind words!
Lovely little car and almost exactly like mine. Same colour inside and out but mine is the 2lt version with the larger tail lights and over riders on the bumpers. They are so much fun!!!
Glad you finally watched this episode!
@@instacarhk5963 I’ve been trying to watch it since you first posted it but kept getting interrupted 😂
@@clivetaylor4300 Better late than never haha! Hope you enjoyed it!
@@instacarhk5963 certainly did mate. Thanks 🙏👍🏻
You are so lucy, you have got my dream car! A few years back I went to an open day at 'Alfaholics' (video on my channel) and I was like a kid in a candy shop. I prefer the look of your car to the step nose variants mainly due to the Miura like cowled instrument binnacle. You need to film one of the Alfaholics GTA-Rs in Hong Kong.
thanks for your kind words, must be fun to go to Alfaholics. I don't know any of the owners here unfortunately.
I have the same car, same colour, nice to see yours here 👍🏻
Best colour for the 105 I think!
@@instacarhk5963 Nice to see a 105 which isn't red.
Bright sunlight makes ANY colour look good.
My '69 1750 is French blue.
@@raypurchase801 Very nice, blue Alfa's are awesome!
The gloves used too for wooden steering become sleepery when hot and sweaty
That's true too!
Wow 🤩
Great video as usual, sound quality could be improved. I have a question though, how tall are you? I'm trying to assess if I can fit in one. Thanks.
Yeah it's my new mic, it was too close to me hence, will be careful next time! I am about 5"7. I think you're good for the car up to 6".
Regarding the pedals - I've got very big feet.
I need to wear slim shoes, or I apply both the accelerator and the brake at the same time.
Awesome video, do you know your Junior is a South African made car or not? Also you intend to keep the chrome bumpers?
A bit pedantic I know but none of the bumpers on these cars are ‘chrome’. They are polished ‘stainless steel’.
What a gorgeous car. Did they have 2-row rear plates by default originally?
Yes as with most classic italian cars they had square rear plates
Great video and story. Very informative too. I have seen this car a few times on the road. Such an eye catching little gem! May I please ask about mechanic. Please PM me the detail if you don’t mind. Thanks.
Thanks for your kind comments. It's called Auto Dynamic in Ap Lei Chau.
@@instacarhk5963 Thank you very much. This has been my dream car for years. Hope I can get my hands on it soon. 😬
Gt in video Is fantastic!
Gt 2000 veloce Is dream❤
Very very sexycar i love this fantastic car 🍀🏁💓
👍❤️
Is the gt junior the one with a twin cam 1.6?
Yes, as detailed in the video, please watch!
@@instacarhk5963 i was wondering because my grandfather used to have a similar GT 2+2 with a smaller engine in it. I think it was a 1200cc or something. It looked exactly like this
Nice video, they keep on getting better and better!
@@maxoberg4642 Then it's probably the 1300 Junior, very similar to mine! Thanks for your support as always!
They all had twin cam motors...
Patek 5711!!!!!
I like how the commentator says “not to worry” the car was fine after a motorcyclist hit a Ferrari then the GT.
No mention of human life 😂 just that the car was ok having sacrificed an F-car a moto and possibly a human.
Uh...because factually the the motorcyclist WAS fine, there was no "possibly a sacrificed human life". He made full recovery. He was also the sole person who caused the entire accident because he was speeding and went into oncoming traffic before crashing into two cars. So he alone sacrificed his own motorcycle, a Ferrari, and a classic Alfa, not the other way around.
