What a buzz to get up and close to Rob's Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1600! I've seen this at various events and was always drawn straight to it.

The quality of this car exceeded most cars of the time - look at the shut lines, hear the doors close. They were exceptionally well made and of the best materials - stainless trim, mechanicals made of best quality alloy and very strong. The gearbox was said by road testers of the time to be the best there was with an action likened to a well oiled bolt action rifle. Big four wheel disc brakes too in the days when most"ordinary cars used drums. You see how clever they were aerodynamically when you wash one what with the flush glass, wheels well out to the edge of the wheel arches, little spoiler above the rear window etc etc. An absolutely marvellous car greatly unappreciated.

I have a 69 1300 Ti but with a 1600/twin 40 webers, Alfaholics fast road suspension, full Giulia Super external trim, BWA alloys, Nardi steering wheel, seats in Connolly leather etc. One day, I will get to enjoy it. such cool cars. My brother is currently building up a classic track/rally Giulia Super. Such an under appreciated car but fast increasing in value. I used to have a S1 1750 GTV.
