2:21 actually it's not uncommon for VAs to have to re-audition for characters they have already voiced (see Dr. Eggman's voice actor who reapplied to be the voice when they changed the entire Sonic voice cast). I think the real red flag is the fact a character she already voiced is a reference; it's more likely it said something like "character XYZ is sort of like characters A, B or Elma" than the other way around.
I did originally have a line with a caveat about dubbing being done by the same production company for both the original and sequel, but didn't keep it in because I forgot if XC1 and 2 were handled by the same people beyond just "NOE localization team," which would cause contradictions later with the stuff about the returning XC1 actors.
A xenoblade chronicles remake really needs to happen, that game is too good to stay that ugly lmaoo, completely rebuilding it from the ground up, maybe even reusing xenoblade 2's engine and assets (not those shulk and fiora models tho ew) would be amazing
We, not Xenoblade 2's engine. 2 runs horrendously. All the big towns in 1 would lag like hell. Maybe the Torna engine, I think they're different, but they could also use a new engine that they're using for their other upcoming games
@@Chronoflation Torna just has better lighting and is more optimized, other than that it is the exact same engine, they probably will use that engine but upgrade it more with new assets

While I largely agree with this video, they actually do often have to reaudition for the same part. I’m only like 70% sure cause I’ve heard this somewhere before in regards to other franchises. It’s why game series like sonic have a somewhat volatile voice cast. This isn’t always the case especially if it’s a cameo voice role but in larger projects like full games they do have to reaudition. It’s not like live action where actors are much harder to replace and recast. Of course I might be completely wrong and I’m rather doubtful that this is evidence of an new xenoblade game or project but we will see.
For Howden, it's definitely NOT a Dragalia Lost crossover with Xenoblade. The whole English voice cast is Vancouver-based and even then they have done very little for the dubbing of the game in general.
I mean, another reason to not take Caitlin's tweet as Elma voicework for a new Xenoblade...it was dated for last year. Whereas Howden's was a few days ago. So yeah.
Oof! Do I really have to press Like on a video which states that no new Xeno-game is on the way...? ... Oh, hey! DERP! If the world's as insane as it's been of late, I bet it's Project X-Zone 3! I *would* laugh for days if that's really what's going on!
What? The series has never been this successful and Takahashi even mentioned that he would want to do a XCX2 and XC3 in the future. I don't see why he would stop now that he has the opportunity to finally tell the story he wants.
They hired for a new Takahashi project using the Mechon as an image for the project earlier this year. Takahashi wrote all the Xeno games, so more likely than not they are already working on a new Xenoblade game.
i'm 100% down to a HD port of xenoblade
What would be great is if they made a connection to the other Xenoblades in a Xenoblade 1 remake.
