hey man I know this is an old video but if you do see this, im having trouble selecting the outline shape i just drew and selecting both the fog shapes and clipping the mask, all im doing is clicking on the shape, then the 2 shapes but im so confused on how you get the "make clipping mask" to come up after wards. I dont think im selecting them right.
When using the pen tool, try not to click any other open anchor points because it’ll continue that line. You can draw the pen tool on a different layer and then lock the other layer, or you can click around the present anchor points, and then use shift+C to move your new anchor points where you want them to be
When i drag n drop a mock up from the pack onto adobe illu. it doesnt come w the lines on the hoodie highlighted, just the whole image so im not sure how to change color of hoodie
alright thanks but most of the sellers are using products of other brands and it seems so sketchy, like most of them don't have the same fit/material@@seaggs
Hey man does the hoodie have to be a png to draw over, I'm trying to draw over one out the .ai file from your mock up pack to do the clipping mask but my pen tool just keeps deleting existing anchor points?

@@Ryqnnn actually extremely easy, just draw a messy shape then use anchor point tool (shift+C) to drag points where you want them to be. Don’t be so sensitive
your not understanding what I'm saying, I can do it very easily over a png file, I think I found the solution, I needed to lock the first layer (the original tee shirt) then created a new layer for the clipping mask tee@@seaggs
@@Ryqnnn I understand what you are saying, locking the layer also works, but to avoid that you could also draw a shape for the clipping mask, and then move the anchor points on top of the mockups anchor points that would avoid you clicking on the mock up anchor points

when i line out the shape for my tee it gets automatically filled out how do i stop that?
Remove the fill and just leave the outline stroke
once you apply this to the mock up , how would you communicate with the manufacturer to have this added on your piece
You could say add an acid wash and make it look faded
you could include an inspiration picture along with telling them the wash you want

You mean acid wash effect? Change color of base mockup and keep acid wash effect layered on top of hoodie

I’m selecting both of them as you said but it’s not letting me use clipping mask

why we do this when we can show the manufacture an example of acid washed sample
You can do that too, this is showing a way to also represent it on your mock-ups
