Thank you for explaining this in an easily digestible manner. Excellent job of providing the need to know information without attempting to display how much you know. No other videos I've seen broke down what is happening to the brake fluid over time, i.e. water intrusion due the venting of the reservoir cap. It all makes perfect sense to me now. I'm surprised and slightly embarrassed this hadn't occurred to me having been trained in aviation hydraulic systems by the US Navy.

Thanks so much for the comment! It’s always a fine line between too much info and too little, looks like I might have gotten it right on this one 👍😁 honestly, it sounds like you have much more knowledge on these sorts of systems then me but glad I was able to share a little nugget of extra info 😎 cheers, Phil

I've a suggestion to brake fluid manufacturers. It works be great if it came in 2 different colours so each time you change you use the other colour, then, weekend bleeding, you can't see when the new fluid has reached the caliper.

@stemcleeds That's a really great idea! When I did my brakes, I drained through a lot more than I needed to just to be sure and it is a waste of fluid and takes more time.

Hi @arnietwo11 Bet you are chomping at the bit to get on with the job! Today I'm doing my first ever spray gun paint job, new video coming soon! Bit nervous!

@@ReviveMyRide ive been spraying the T2 recently and getting a reasonable job with rattle cans. As u know its in the preparation, also u need to heat up the panel, either with the sun or a heat gun, then u minimise the risk of runs.

@@arnietwo11 Most of my painting has been rattle cans in the past. As you say, you can get good results and many of the manufacturers do better nozzles on them these days to get a better spray pattern. Sounds like you’ll be ready to go with your T2 soon 👍

After every autocross. Or once a year.
Water get absorbed in because brake fluid is hydroactive. It seeks moisture to destroy.

Hi @drebarthelotte5712 I had heard that people involved in any form of motorsport change theirs much more frequently. Thanks for sharing your experience.
