    First of all, you have the best personality for these tutorials. Secondly, once you said you had to get a saw, I was like "umm no way I can do this myself". So I will pass this on to my stepfather or maybe save this DIY project until next year and start gathering supplies during xmas time. But your tree is beautiful! You're so creative and crafty and deserve the praise.

      Learn and appreciate our holidays by making our holidays seem like Christmas? You should teach your kids how to properly celebrate Ramadan without imitating disbelievers.

    SMH people never cease to amaze me, here’s a doozy for the Harram police when the prophet pbuh first arrived to madina the companions along with the ansar met him on the outskirts with olive branches and palm tree branches and we singing in excitement. We are doing the same thing for Ramadan. Those of us in the west are struggling to get our kids excited about our holidays and we do what we have to do.

    • @BakeMyDayMimo
      @BakeMyDayMimo  5 лет назад +4

      Aicha Elmoustapha thank you🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I really don’t see the big deal of celebrating this way. I don’t know why people have to make everything such a big deal.

    • @roseheartly4111
      @roseheartly4111 Год назад +1

      This doesn't look like an olive tree or palm tree branch but more like a Christmas tree. It is haram for us to imitate the Christians. Stop doing this. There is absolutely nothing wrong with decorating your homes but you must not decorate with things that people of other religions do

    • @Hayaa2342
      @Hayaa2342 Год назад +2

      That’s no excuse to compromise your own religious beliefs and imitate the disbelievers. Ramadan is not an aesthetic. It is not a trend, and it it not Christmas. Please don’t forget that this holy month is dedicated to us Muslims developing a stronger connection to our creator and leaving our sins behind.

      @@BakeMyDayMimo Hi!!!! im so excited because i started this project yesterday... just wanted to ask how much of the garland do you think you'd need for a 4 ft crescent? is 100 ft a decent amount just so I have a rough idea... Also have you made this in a white garland instead of green? Do you think it would look good or would it not have that full look to it like yours do? Thanks!

    • @BakeMyDayMimo
      @BakeMyDayMimo  6 лет назад +2

      sabira moledina yaaay!! Honestly, I think you might need 150 ft at least. If you don’t need it anytime soon, wait until the after Christmas sale and they will sell them either half off and if you wait even more than that they will be supercheap

    Don't let the haram police misinform you with their ignorance of Islamic traditions. All traditions in every religion are pagan in origin. And the prophet (saws) sanctioned these rites for Islam. In fact, Arabs have always adopted the moon, evil eye, hand of hamsa, etc. into our customs regardless of what religions came and went. Even the way Muslims kiss the black meteorite in the Ka'abah & make wishes on it is pagan in origin. The way rocks are thrown at the (idol) statue of the devil during Hajj is a pagan practice. Circumambulation 7 times around the Ka'abah was originally done by pre-Islamic pagans to please the moon god Hubal, the 360 deities and even Allah (who was one among the many deities that pagans worshiped there). Prophet Muhammad (saws) himself used to do it, even before the 360 idols inside the Ka'abah were removed.
    The prophet himself tried to get rid of the Ka'abah, but its influence on the people was much too strong and historical. *Narrated Aswad: Ibn Az-Zubair said to me, "Aisha used to tell you secretly a number of things. What did she tell you about the Ka'ba?" I replied, "She told me that once the Prophet said, 'O 'Aisha! Had not your people been still close to the pre-Islamic period of ignorance (infidelity)! I would have dismantled the Ka'ba and would have made two doors in it; one for entrance and the other for exit." Later on Ibn Az-Zubair did the same. Sahih Bukhari **1:3:12**8*
    Before the pilgrimage to Mecca, one must perform Ihram, which involves a series of procedures like ritual washing, wearing 'Ihram garments', etc. Ihram was (according to Sahih Bukhari) originally a pagan requirement for worshiping idols during pre-Islamic times. The prophet (saws) retained this practice for Islam. Muslims assume Ihram to perform the Hajj or Umrah. *Narrated 'Urwa: I asked 'Aisha : ...But in fact, this divine inspiration was revealed concerning the Ansar who used to assume “Ihram” for worshipping an idol called “Manat” which they used to worship at a place called Al-Mushallal before they embraced Islam, and whoever assumed Ihram (for the idol), would consider it not right to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa. Sahih Bukhari **2:26**:706*
    Though optional, Prophet Muhammad (saws) retained the Fasting on the 10th of the Muharram from the pagan past too. *Narrated 'Aisha: 'Ashura' (i.e. the tenth of Muharram) was a day on which the tribe of Quraish used to fast in the pre-lslamic period of ignorance. The Prophet also used to fast on this day. So when he migrated to Medina, he fasted on it and ordered (the Muslims) to fast on it. When the fasting of Ramadan was enjoined, it became optional for the people to fast or not to fast on the day of Ashura. Sahih Bukhari **5:58:17**2*
    Pagans prior to Islam would pray five times per day towards the idols in the Ka'abah. Zoroastrians were also expected to recite their (kusti) prayers at least five times a day having first cleansed themselves by washing (ablution). But Zoroastrians pray in the direction of the Sun (at each time of the day) and/or of the Holy Fire (if they are in a Fire Temple). Keep in mind, there is not one verse in the Quran in which Allah specifies how many times we must pray, so instead the pagan practice of 5 prayers was retained, especially once the Prophet meditated on it and had a vision.

    Hey can someone tell me if I can gift something similar on a subtle modern scale for my MIL (she's Persian, but not sure it's relevant)? She's an interior designer and I'm worried about making a fool of myself 😭 poor things first born son and apple of her eye fell in love with a half Jewish white girl from Idaho. I don't hold a candle to her overly caring ways and I constantly fear she thinks I don't do enough for her bb 🤣 I try to always give her spices and flowers so this would be so cool

    Sister the pagans would bring in pine tree branchs during the winter solstice as a symbol of life after the death of winter as part of their pagan festivities at the time, as they were the only green things in the forest. This is possibly linked to the worship of Odin, who was also called Wodin, where the word wood comes from.

      Noshy Syed I think you need about 200-250 feet. Now is a great time to buy them. They are in their after Christmas sale

    I love any decorations for Rahmadan but is this borderline idol worship? Please help me, I don't want to cross any lines in my Deen. Is it ok? I love it and want to do this.
