AHHH now I can hear the parallel to the 7th palace theme! Adriana was telling me about that, but for some reason I couldn't get my mind to focus on both songs at once. Now it's so obvious that I can't believe I didn't catch it myself.
It's also the same leitmotif used in When My Mother Was There, the theme for Futaba's palace. Particularly the first half of the vocals from Tokyo Daylight. Shoji Meguro is a wizard when it comes to his craft, and being able to subtly implement those same notes into different songs to tie the soundtrack together is masterful. Another excellent example from him is the I'll Face Myself variants from Persona 4 (though throwing subtly out the window by naming them the same). The idea that you can run two sets of the same notes to draw totally different emotions and feels is fascinating to me.
Just started playing Persona 5. 45 hours deep and Ive heard this song so much and love it. Great to see a new energetic cover for this. Badass!! You really rock that guitar dude, skills

Those dissonant notes are in the original strangely enough. I was kinda surprised by how weird the bass contradicts with everything else, but every song on this soundtrack has something like that.
You know, the bass solo was both sick and really fit into the tone of the track, but your wild-ass guitar solo, while cool as fuck, didn't really fit in. Nonetheless, this was a great cover.
