I wore a cool gray and silver eye for my wedding in 2008. Someone else in the comments said they've never strayed far from it because it was big in the 90s, and I second that. People in their early 40s (like me) were used to wearing these colors back in the day. It looks stunning on you! I was reminded of a look you did years ago with the KVD Shade + Light palette that was also so gorgeous and quite similar! (Long time subscriber here ❤️)

I’m super fair, blonde, neutral-toned, & have blue eyes. A cool gray eye is my BEST look! It adds definition without being too harsh. Totally underrated! I know it seems weird, but mixing cool grays with a camel + some shimmer is a stunning eye look. Something about the warm + cool just brings the eyes alive
I did a dusty yellow/slate blue blend with soft silver shimmer today and it was banging.

I wish that Colourpop and other brands would create mini versions of their larger palettes, with half the amount of eyeshadow in each pan and smaller packages. Most people already have so much makeup and many of us just don't have the space to store larger palettes. I don't like cool toned eyeshadow, but yours looks great! I totally agree. Although isn't the ColourPop mega palettes already the smaller pans and not nearly as big as they seem? I mean they're like almost half the size of say a Morphe 35 pan palette I believe. So I don't know that they would go much smaller. But I do agree that brands like Natasha Denona and Pat McGrath should make mini versions of their palettes. Like the same number of shades just smaller. I appreciate the 5 pans but if I could buy a mother ship palette for half the price with half the product id be all over that.

@@christyfielding7498 I feel like that is where Natasha Denona’s Midi palettes came in… quite a good price for high end without skimping on quantity I think. I would never need the full size palettes of hers for how large the pan size seems 🤷🏼♀️😄

I really like this channel. Watching her feels like spending a good time playing with makeup with a down to earth friend who knows a lot about makeup and has good conversation mixed in with knowledgeable comments. No nonsense reviews and I appreciate the family stories. I have dark hair, medium brown eyes, and neutral medium skin; grey shadow eye looks are my fave.
And I agree with kids and clothes…I work with a lot of toddlers and I always dress like I’m going to the gym because I would not want my good clothes being used as a tissue
The gone Matte pallet is absolutely everything and it is a total workhorse. You could absolutely just have this one pallet with a few shimmer singles and you are set.

I'm so happy to see the Revlon Colorstay love. It's been my ride or die foundation for years because it holds up so well with my oily skin, but I never see anyone talk about it.

It’s been a struggle the last few years with all the orange and red and pink eyeshadow palettes out there. But this gray shadow I think is your best look ever.
I wear grey shadows all the time! Being fair skinned and blue eyed, it's one of my best looks. I love all grey looks, but also love adding in a pop of pink, or some peachy tones, because they play so well together. I love the kitten cameos! I have 3 kitties of my own, and love the little furballs so much! They are so fun!
Yes Emily, those very shades from that palette are my daily go to looks. I am 67, with gray hair and it looks really pretty with the eyes.

Beautiful look Emily! I wear it all the time. I’m very fair and it’s a lot softer and everyday wearable on me than black. My eyes can look grey so I like it and it does indeed look great on your brown eyes. I don’t know why grey isn’t more popular!
Thanks for the Milani eye primer recommendation! I bought it right after I bought my Natasha Denona glam palette. That formula just will not stick to my holy grail mac paint pot. I just bought my second tube of Milani. It’s so great and it lasted a very long time and it’s actually now my holy grail. It works on all eyeshadows and paint pots feel stiff and uncomfortable on my lid now that I am used to Milani.

@@TracyD2 What a silly thing for him to say! I'm 54, with an uber-cool undertone and greys are some of THE most flattering shades on me. Age has nothing to do with it - it's your coloring that determines how good a makeup shade looks on you. I've never looked good in warmer tones, and getting older certainly doesn't make them look any better (actually it's worse, and is quite aging - so not just unflattering but old and unflattering!).
I love a cool gray eyeshadow look! I tried a look like this a few weeks ago with my Viseart Neutral Mattes and Grand Pro 1 palettes and it turned out wonderful. I haven't been able to replicate it since! I think the hint of warmth from the brown really brings it to another level! I have dark brown eyes and I agree, the cool greys made the warmth of your (and my) eyes pop!

The grey in the original viseart petit pro is my absolute favorite. I have lighter blue eyes and using that all over my lids with a peachy shade in the crease to fade it out is my go to. 😊

Love grey shadows as well as taupe, green and plum. You are the queen of shadow application. Each video you look beautiful. Did my mani/pedi yesterday and used a grey tone. People all day stopped me and asked what color this was.
WalMart was never my store of choice but lately I have found some great buys. I try to go during the week when it is not so busy. You are absolutely right on the costs of items at WalMart. I have saved so much money on all types of items.

Gorgeous! Smokey eye is my favorite 🤩 That ColorPop pallet looks very pretty.
The milani highlighters are so good! I feel like they are a dupe of the Nars ones that came out a couple of years back. Those and the Maybelline Chrome gold and rose gold are my favorite Drugstore highlighters of all time!

Love drugstore GRWMs! I usually do a similar eyeshadow distribution but lately I am surprised by how much I will like a smoky medium matt like Comfy across the whole mobile lid (don’t make the inside lid lighter like we usually do). Makes the eye look sexy and bigger..try it! 😊
I try to have a flashlight handy, near where I take out and put in my contacts. That helps a lot! I was wearing Daily Wear, Disposable Contacts for a long time. It took awhile to adjust back to 30 day lenses.

I just ran out & picked up the Revlon lipstick in Smokey Rose & came home to do a smokey Grey & Silver eyelook! I used the Stone Cold Fox palette and it turned out Beautifully!! I'm soooo pleased with the look!

Dropping a contact is THE WORST! First thing I do is freeze, then pull out my phone's flashlight 🔦. The places I've found them...my pants, the wall, the garbage can...🤦♀️ those things move like they have no business moving!!

My favorite go-to eye look is dark brown & cool gray.
The reason why it's my go-to is b/c I have light brown eyes and it makes them even lighter looking.
I have gone through so many grey eyeshadows but I always go back to it for the effect it gives.

I frequently use the contour shade in that Smashbox step-by-step contour palette as a daily one shadow gray look, and I LOVE it. It's my favorite shade in that palette you recommended. :)
