Something I have noticed is the number of people who say *"I* *could* *care* *less".* That means they do care, but could care less if they wanted to. Now if they said "I couldn't care less" (the correct term), it means they already do have the least amount of care for the issue. Why do so many people get it wrong? It's as bad as the double negative "I didn't do nothing" which means you did do something.
Road story. This man owned over 10 acres of land that abutted a State Forrest. Over the years first, his grandfather & then his father had blazed hiking trails through the property. Some were usable for cross country skiing. At the back of his property, across a river, a HOA development went up. Access from the HMO subdivision required a long drive to reach major roads & the nearest town. Then the owner experienced a shock. There was a proposal to build a bridge across the River & then build a road across his property to reach a major road. The man was aghast. He found allies. The bridge would have been very costly just to service the needs of less than a 100 homes.. Peace restored for a time. Then the HOA paid for a sturdy footbridge across the River. All of a sudden the man’s trails were being used by ATV’s, people using trail bikes & it some cleared spaces for camping. There was considerable mess being left behind. The man sued as the footbridge crossing was on his property. The HOA was convinced the footbridge was their special entrance to the State Forrest. It went to court & the man won. The footbridge had to be removed. The actual entrance to the State Forrest was 10 miles away. With the footbridge it was only about a half mile to enter the Man’s property.
I know people who would have just torched the footbridge, much as they removed padlocked illegal road gates they found erected out in the boonies. In Montana you couldn't block the road easement (public or private) that went across private property to access public or private land on the other side, but new owners were always attempting to do just that. If they were running cattle it was all fenced in with barbed wire, and people would shut the gate after went through. One guy had a chainsaw, bolt cutters, and a cutting torch in the back of his truck when he headed out. The first time he'd just cut the padlock off, if they put on a new one later he'd remove the entire gate, posts and all. Over the years he must have removed at least twenty gates and dumped them all into whatever nearby ravine he could locate. Never had to remove the same gate more than twice because when the owners complained the state would inform them that installing the gate was a crime and they were lucky there was no longer evidence that they had done so. That brand of vigilante action was far more tolerated 40 to 50 years ago than it is now.

Should have had Karen arrested for rummaging through OP's mailbox. That's a federal offense.
I was thinking people really named Karen must get unearned grief.
If someone gave me a free security gate on my private road I'd most likely keep it once I changed all the locks.
This new neighbour knew about public property this 6:35 neighbour just want feee land

You guys understand these stories are fake right?
Boring reading. Needs more emotion and the time between stories is too short.
