Very good. Character study of 3 friends from college to the present. Tennis background

The movie had minor things that I did not necessarily love but overall great movie and I really loved the way they truly used tennis as a metaphor for their love triangle.

The movie does bounce back-and-forth between past and present, but the movie is told away that doesn’t really slow down the pacing too much, although there were moments of a little bit of watch-checking on my behalf.

On the positive side, the film made tennis exciting, even for someone like me who doesn’t know much about the sport. There were some moments that felt quite intense. The relationships in the movie are portrayed as immature fantasies, which I found somewhat appealing.

Overall it wasn’t that bad, but for some reason it sort of confuse me with timeline and the ending but acting and actors were good and there was some scene that made me chuckle, I’m giving it a 8.8 out of 10.

It was awesome. Raunchy, unexpected, unbothered. Cool. A little too real. But the ending was a little strange.

I’ve always been a fan of Zendaya and almost everything she’s been apart of, so I was a bit biased going in. I had some high expectations. I think some parts of the movie were great and I think a lot of other parts of the movie just didn’t flow well.

Although I have for the most part considered Guadaguino to be just an OK director, or "mid" for lack of a better term, I was excited for this movie as I felt that he was breaking ground and honing on his craft with Bones And All (which I loved).
Well...The first thing that stood out to me was the terrible dialogue.
It would be acceptable for a student film but for a movie of this hype and back up, absolutely not, and I believe this is where the movie stars crumbling.
The movie "says" a lot and shows very little.
The premise is solid but something about it felt to me like it was rushed during the writing of it. This is confirmed when by the end of the movie you see no development in any of the characters.

Disturbing, entertaining, twisted but in a somehow realistic way, because you know, people are flawed. Athletes will be able to relate to the mind games.

A three-way makeout session that seems to be the only reason half the audience went.
80’s movies vibes without knowing what the 80’s were about.
Self-important, vapid, dull, ridiculous, and entertaining for none of the reasons the people making it wanted it to be.
Prior to seeing this I’d seen a few episodes of Euphoria that made me think Zendaya could act, or, become a “real” actress. But the person I saw onscreen was not the character in this second-rate screenplay. It was the same actress’s public-facing persona I saw at Paramount in a Q & A session.
Next time, if there is a next time, she needs a director who isn’t too star-struck to direct her, and a better script. The supporting actors did well for what they had to work with.
Bottom line-if you must see it wait til it’s out on streamers. Don’t pay extra.

Never a good sign when you look at your phone for a time check at least five times during the film..
That said Zendaya is gorgeous and has acting ability and enormous charisma. She has only just begun her star career!
The plot was silly though and neither male lead seemed even a tiny bit as attractive or interesting as she was!!
Also moved constantly back and forth in three segments of time at least.. had to keep track by observing her haircut ..
thin plot and no real passion with these guys not to mention wondering 🤔 why they made this movie. Only sure thing is she is star material!!!!!

I REALLY wanted to give challengers a 5 star review, but the scene where tashi CHEATED on art, then she goes home seeing art and and their daughter (lily) sleeping together with the same position breaks our heart… 😭 WHY DO YOU GUYS NEED TO INCLUDE THAT SCENE? ughhh, it was almost a 5 star movie, that scene literally RUINED IT 🔥🔥🔥☹☹ I mean tashi is literally and adult bro wtfff, plus art wealth is already enough for 3 generations, just retire and be a happy family, cmon tashi wtfff!!!! CMONN the cast are good, the story are ALMOST there, JUST MAKE TASHI APOLOGIZE TO ART! UGHHHH its so devastating
