I actually think Momoland is the most hated group of this decade. They literally get criticized for everything they do. I genuinely feel like toxic fans ruined their career. They could have become one of the biggest girl groups. I do think the company gave up on them, but all the fake scandals caused them to have less fans and views each comeback, making the company care even less about them. Please keep supporting Momoland. These girls deserve the world.

Nobody deserves hate, but that is the consequence of being popular and successful. Being an idol is rewarding, but at the same time stressful and tiring. Aespa and Blackpink were the most hated group in their generation, they kind of share the same story. But look at them now.

Asepa got a crap ton of hate because they were a four member group, and certain blonks felt threatened for no good reason.
Literally everything they do including lyrics, dance moves or type of clothes they wear is constantly used to compare them to my girls Blackpink, because they were a four member group and that is too much so they must be copying, is the dumb logic haters use.
The same thing happened to Twice who was hated because they were a 9 member group so JYP "made them to replace SNSD", Blackpink had the same issue because they debuted with the same number of girls as 2ne1 so they were their "replacement".
Itzy got a crap ton of hate because JYP is known for neglecting previous GG for the new one(ex Miss A was completely neglected once Twice debuted) so they were afraid that history would repeat, and that Twice would get neglected by the company.

It was so hard being a fan of Blackpink after their D4 era - specifically 2018-2020. There was only a shift after they performed in Coachella which made people re-evaluate their opinions of them. But the hate they received was so extraordinarily magnified compared to other groups.
Since there performance at Coachella, BLACKPINK has gotten so much American recognition and so many western artists want to collab with them. In 2019, BLACKPINK was promoting more in the US than in Korea. In 2019, it was all about BTS and BLACKPINK but now we got TWICE, NCT, MONSTA X, ITZY, TXT, Enhypen, Aespa, and so many other groups.

BTS only released singles and promoting way more in the US than in Korea. TWICE has given us 6 comebacks. Kura Kura, Taste of Love, Perfect World, The Feels, Formula of Love, and Doughnut.

Blackpink often go on year long breaks but always come back dominating the industry. They had no comebacks this year and still are first on most MV streams among all GG. Power of blinks. BTS are well BTS. Army are constantly supporting regardless. They're both the most successful groups in the world.

@GiGi I think it is also a curse of being a new group in SM, because when you look at NCT they have the same problem with hate and scandals that come from nothing. Aespa has it worst as they are a girl group tho. It's sad that when they get the recognition they get hate but if they aren't making new records they are called a flop. Aespa has it worst 'cause they are a girl group and are under SM which is thought to neglect older group after debuting new ones. They are all talented and lucky to get new following quickly, but it comes with a big burden of hate attached to it. Also, constructive criticism is not saying a song is trash 'cause it is not to one's taste or trying to ruin somebody's career.

The fact that there is one idol, who was in two groups mentioned. It's Youngheun from Blackswan, who is a former Stellar and Rania member. She is 2nd from the left here 0:13 and 3rd here 0:17. Despite of being in two (or three) kinda controversial groups, Youngheun herself never was caught in a scandal. She was put into Stellar in 2017 as a replacement for two members, who's contracts expired, which was not the best way how The Entertainment Pascal could use a long-lasting trainee... Youngheun only performed with Stellar, but luckily didn't have to record an another m/v with provocative concept. Soon enough, Stellar disbanded and AGAIN, her new agency DR Music added her to long-existed RaNia after a few members left, months before group disbanded.
I am so happy that with the debut of Blackswan, Youngheun finally got what she always deserved - to be an ORIGINAL member of the group and be a leader and main vocalist! I wish she was more appreciated
Until she left (they call it "Graduation) on July 31st, 2022. Rania/BlackSwan is a whole mess of a group. In BS 4 members are left, and I don't think they'll stay together in this formation for long. The group should have quit years ago. Blank slate for the company, all new members. I at least assume they want a functioning company. And to think they used to have Baby V.O.X.

Nah blinks are very reasonable. They'll empathize with the new YG girl group because they know what Blackpink had to go through. Just look at how supportive blinks were towards Treasure when they debuted and even how supportive they were towards Bigbang when the false Jennie and GD rumors started

Most hated girl group of this decade? BlackPink. Their massive popularity and the fact that YG promotes the members separately really causes them to recieve a lot of hate. Not to mention how Jennie was definitely the most hated female idol for years. Because YG has almost never given BP an original song meant for BP, and because they hardly ever release anything, many kpop stans feel as though BP do not deserve to be at the top because they haven't had nearly as many songs or comebacks, and because YG blatantly puts the absolute least amount of effort they can into this group. In conclusion, yet another girl group that has to face the backlash for their company's actions. It sucks.

I am a blink and I didn't like aespa at first. Not because they became popular so fast and they have potential to be at the level of BP if not beat them. I didn't like them because I didn't understand them because their concept/lore is very confusing. It becomes very exciting once you research on the whole lore and story of their songs and then listen to them. Now aespa is my second favorite kpop group. I think sm should have explained their concept before debut which would have reduced the hate they got. Apparently people accused them of copying k/DA, a virtual kpop group which are btw my third favorite, just because they have virtual avatars. If people know the whole concept and story they will realize it's very different.

True. A lot of it wasn't even their fault too like when the media kept pushing that Twice was Nation's Girl Group so early in their careers when only SNSD was ever officially named Nation's Girl Group by the South Korean government.
I do agree with some of the information you provided however some are misleading: 1)Blackswan is not Rania.
2)For Blackpink you said that it was blackjack that got mad and accused them of replacing 2ne1. However that was partially YG's fault, they kept marketing them as future/new 2ne1.
3) Momoland, you're saying that they need to be left alone but not bowing and displaying rude behavior is a big deal especially if you're an up and coming artist/group.
4)Lia's issue isn't related to Jennie.
5)There are much more scandals associated with Aespa. Winter was caught in a scandal for mistreating 2 of her pets, Karina was caught in scandals as well and the whole Giselle thing topped it off.

Agree. At that point us blackjacks had already given up and were heartbroken by our own circumstances. To be honest I didn’t know who BP were until their songs started blowing up. We knew for years that YGE was going to put out a new girl group, so it’s not like BP did anything.

I thought people took it too seriously. She was singing a song which had the word in it. Personally I don't say it because I've never liked that word but no one got offended in my class when we were having to read To Kill A Mockingbird when reading aloud and that word is in it several times.

Some of the issues people had with aespa at debut were due to false rumors that Karina was bad-mouthing Kai, a handful of NCT members, and Jimin in her texts to friends. Those were eventually proven false, but it’s obviously a bad look for a new idol to go around secretly trashing their seniors.

The problem is fandoms are dying to hurt other idols while asking for understanding when their idols get hurt. Fandoms cry when they get hate for nothing, their idols getting blamed for things they didn't do, people mock them for stupid things but once the hate slows down they jump onto other fandoms neck. Reminds me of the hate SNSD got back in the day after debut when Suju and TVXQ fans were angry at SNSD for being close to their oppas (E.L.Fs still the scariest and most toxic fandom I've ever seen). They were slut shamed, had predebut photos and plastic surgery rumors constantly swirling around blogs/fancafes, black oceans, and so much more. Thankfully SNSD rose above the hate and grew to be legends just like Aespa will.

ill be honest ive been a fan of korean kpop girl groups for a while and its just very messed up that they get hated on alot and it sucks so much cause they honestly dont really do anything and the fact alot of there real fans hate aswell just prove there fake fans like its just so messed up it gets me very mad because i really do love them and wanna make sure they aint being hurt.

I think it should be mentioned that while 2016 and 2017 BLACKPINK were getting hate for YG using them to replace 2NE1, during those years I think the most hated group for no reason was TWICE and I'm saying this as a BLINK. There was this weird shift around 2018 where the stans of other groups who backed BLACKPINK previously and often hated on TWICE, started liking TWICE, but then hated on BLACKPINK in turn. I would almost call this the curse of being "the most popular girl group" as this same kind of treatment happened to SNSD way back and we are kind of seeing it happening with aespa if they keep growing in popularity.
You need to work hard if you're a female group. Even if you're famous, a rookie boygroup from big company will still sells more than you. Even if their music sucks. You need to prove everytime.

To be honest, this generation of idols will continuously get hate and it'll only get worse and worse.
Nowadays, "fandoms" are filled with kids who are barely mature enough to be on social media. And having such easy access to the internet, both love and hate increase immaculately. Along with underage kids being on social media, they can barely understand concepts, or the company's motives. Unable to understand the intention of the company or idols, they just follow. Who's bothered to do "research" at such a young age? These people just believe and fall for whatever they see first online, which leads to unnecessary and unethical rumors and hate.
Mainly, these "fanwars" are caused by this age group, who are active online and social media. With some groups, the main fanbase are all more mature, with a work life, or in the 40's even. These positive and understanding people don't have time to read and reply to all those unnecessary comments the younger age groups have created.
Regarding exceptions, there are definitely close minded people everywhere but remember, there are so many more other comments that are filled with love.
Once the hateful people experience some hardships, only then they will learn and reflect on their own actions. Sorry, cliché but true.
Anyways, I had to let this out. Recently the hate train is getting longer and longer and it's pretty sad and annoying to see. But please, if possible, don't interact with these "people" since they often do it for clout. Otherwise, they're just uneducated.

I was really mad , when 2ne1 was disbanded and Blackpink debuted. I mean I was not ´´ hater´´ of BP, but I was so angry about YG . What they did to 2ne1 and how they were trying to replace 2ne1 with BP , as it is so easy to replace them. Now I kinda felt in love into blackpink, but Im really afraid that YG is gonna do it the same thing , soon or later. 2ne1 back in that days were the most popular group, so YG is not afraid to do it again If they have a new girl group and we all know they are gonna debut new girl group this year. They managed Bp same as 2ne1, it was no difference between them , they have same producer, YG Ceo said they made no effort to make difference between them. SO basically BP are ´´ 2ne1´´ .- Its just disgusting what they did, thats why I was so bitter towards to BP back in the days, It was nothing personal towards to girls , just against company. No blink can understand that , because you never felt that sadness, and pain when your favorite group is disbanded and replaced, I hope you never will. I was huuuge fan of YG ent. I believe something magical we lost when 2ne1 disbanded. Interactions between Blackpink and 2ne1 would be EPIC. Blackpink deserved better than be just another ´´ 2ne1´´ . Being great in their own way and make their own music. Blackpink as we know now is still ´´ YGs´´ brand. Now I feel sorry for both groups. I feel such a musicality from Rosé - she is great with her natural voice and guitar. I want to get to know her like this as an artist. 2ne1 and Blackpink really deserved better.
