@@WingitCustoms Yes sir, great job with those dies. Pretty inspirational too, honestly, given how much companies charge for the damn things... And I didn't mean to be an Internet know-it-all either, I just saw you tapping the panel with the body hammer, and I wasn't sure if you knew the solution to flatten it back out.
top job, my arm would have fallen off with all that filling.....can't recall if you have a deep throat shrinker or not but that would have taken out the wobbly edges, but all the same it came out great well done joe
Does look sick
Try using masonry drill bits to drill hard steels surprisingly works well if you work your way up through the sizes
thanks , someone else has told me this , I must try it
All the hard work payed off in the final product
thanks mate
Good job looks good
thanks mate
I am impressed. Quite good.
cheers Chris .
The punching and the tipping stretched the panel, so you gotta shrink it to get that oil can out.
I’d agree with you , this panel was a great test for the louvre punch ,👍🏼

cheers mate the shrinker would work well, though not a fan of the marks it leaves on the steel.
Try prestretching the panel before you put your lovers in. If you had an english wheel it would be easier! Great job though.
Thanks for the tip! the bottom plate could be much smaller from the cutting edge , allowing the closer louvers . the panel should stay a lot flatter.
