I shaved my head with my Mom last year. She was going through treatments and it was time. It felt so good! But I soon realized my hair was my security blanket and had to deal with some issues I didnt realize I had. So...... it's been 10 months now and it is not growing out as fast as I thought it would. But maybe I needed this time to learn how to feel whole without my security blanket. And yes, I would do it again if I had to for my Mom. :-)
Thank you for sharing this!!! I’m currently growing out my undercut and shaved sides and maybe one day I will shave my head…you rocked it!!! Hair is hair at the end of the day, it doesn’t make you nor should it break you….you are beautiful and I love your energy and insight! ♥️
been watching videos all morning of women shaving their heads, recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and now after 1 chemo treatment, my hair is falling out tremendously , this video right here , has made me make the decision to just shave my head, thank you very much
You are SO WONDERFUL! 😻 Thank you for this video and the positivity! 💚🐢 I feel happier now. ❤️ (Also, you look amazing!!!! I love all the hair stages!) I am now at my month 3 after shaving my head, and I am struggling a bit with my insecurities. But this video helped a lot!
I love this video and the perspective you shared. So wise and true. I shaved my hair about two months ago for the experience. It's extremely interesting and teaching me a lot about myself and others 🙂
Hi Hannah ❤️ any tips how to grow it out successfully?? Did you just keep the back trimmed? Mine is one inch shaved and it sticks up so bad did that happen to you too? I hate using pomade it makes the hair too greasy but don't know what else to do and yep my insecurities are bad. I only shaved it because my hair was badly damaged by ulta taking me blond. What a regret! :( I am so self conscious now and have three wigs to hide behind for the next year. I'm hoping it grows out okay still without the the sides needing to be short. I'm just not a fan of that look. :( so I'm letting it all grow out except the mullet part that happens.
Yes exactly! For the first like 6 months I just got the sides and back buzzed and blended up, it helps so much avoid the tennis ball fuzz head thing. Then once the top reaches my ears I just let it go freely.
I normally shave my head but decided to go a year without it (although I did shave my neck because can't stand a neckbeard). After a year I looked like a creepy old man OR balding Santa, if you are being charitable. There was a lot less hair in places I wanted it and far more elsewhere. And it just itched! Hair is overrated. Streamlined is sweet.
