It always blows my mind how dense it is.
Love Hong Kong. I've seen so many skylines around the world but that skyline esp at night of HK is still the most breathtaking I've ever seen.
When we feel happy in our country, we use expressions in Hong Kong. People have been hoping to visit Hong Kong since ancient times. Also, the night scenery of Hong Kong is fantastic.The world is wide and there are many places to go. I enjoyed your video very well. Thank you!

Just watched the Hong Kong Island Drone tour...I Live in the US...I always knew Hong Kong was big but in my near 60 years of life, and an avid student of the world in general; I was staggered by the sheer scope of Hong Kong...I've been to New York dozens of times, LA, I live in Philly, chicago, Houston etc...Hong Kong has more high rise buildings than all those cities COMBINED! The Chinese were smart to take it back from the Brits when the lease expired...THAT was the move of all moves!

Nice video of my hometown!! Actually 70% of Hong Kong is countryside, they are very beautiful and definitely worth going(e.g. Tai O, Sharp Peak, Sunset Peak etc)! You should visit them if you have chance:)

Nice pictures. HK is definitely worth a look but can be a bit hard for tourists to get around. The MTR does not go everywhere but is quite usable. The mountains behind HK are picturesque and the south side of the main island is worth seeing.

Very different than when I lived there in the 60s and 70s.
Dana H you are right, HK has since evolved in the past 3 decade to become another metropolitan NY, it loses many of its original hongkongness of the 60s and 70s when high rise skyscrapers were not as rampant as it is today, the bustling and hustling of older HK are less as dazzling when the city are literally jammed with people squeezing for every little space available.

it just looks skinny because it is so tall, the average floor area is pretty much the same as anywhere in the world

Well, it was an amazing trip. I did as much filming as I could. However, I didn't have a shotgun mic. So a lot of my shots were very windy. I bought one last week. So filming in Spain should be much better.
Are there any tips you could give me? You seem to be everywhere. You have no problem getting very high. :) How do you get such smooth steady pans? Do you use a tripod or monopod? I used a monopod for Colombia and practiced my panning before going but some of my shots came out kind of sloppy. Thanks again Milosh.
+KGR1281 For panning - I do it handheld mostly, also using some support when available, but the most important - I use warp stabilizer in post in Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Enjoy your Spain trip, the mike will certainly help, the built in mikes are useless

How long did you have to wait for a clear day like this? Used to be like like when I grew up there in the 70s and 80s. I have been back 2012, 2014 and last month. .always cloudy or haze! Great video! Thanks for showing off my home.
I was three days in the area end October-beginning November, I think I got lucky. From my previous visit in Feb 2014 I did not use any footage, so hazy and cloudy it was
I never doubt how spiderman spring webs as i grew up in hong kong, but i found it would be hard to do that in US

Beautiful city but is too damn expensive , but it’s expensive just to visit Hong Kong?
Food is cheap compared to the west. Around US$7~15 in local restaurant. Public transport is around US$1~2 pretty much every where you go. Around US$10 from airport to city centre by express train, US$3~4 by bus.
Was it just fog, or is the air pollution in Hong Kong pretty bad? BTW, nice video. Was thinking of teaching English there.

It's both. Pollution is off and on, depending on the season and the changes in mainland China. I feel like it's getting better after the worst period in 2000-2010.
