I am seeing young people of all countries complaining about the economic situation in their country. I believe that social media and television have created false expectations of life. They believe themselves to be poor, not realizing that they are not. If one has the basics of life, they are not poor. Too many people compare themselves to the top 1% and feel inferior because they are not in that tiny group. Yes, Japan is undergoing an economic downswing right now and things are more expensive, but many other countries are also facing this problem.

I wondered why you had interests asking these questions to 13 years old kids.

May be because the economic crisis affects 13yo children too.

Ask school kids about politics is the foolish thing I’ve ever seen

I think it’s more useful to ask someone working in that capitalistic system. Else you can’t explain or tell what politics is all about.

@@mrpeas2111 Asking kids for their opinion about politic is not stupid.A 13 yo kid has opinions too.

i see this interview as some type of educational content, asking great question such as saving money in a bad time would be makes no sense, hope this will open people eyes to be more aware of country economic and personal finance

Yeah. You're always told about the importance of saving money and having kind of a "cushion" to fall back on when things get tough. As someone who grew up in poverty, that's nigh impossible. Being poor is _expensive_ because you have to constantly budget around things, select cheaper and less sustainable options, leading you to ultimately spending more in the long run.
I live comfortably nowadays, but returning to a situation like that time is one of my biggest fears.

For as long as you see completely packed Starbucks from morning to evening full of students and office workers, then you know that's not a poor society. Like one commenter from Ukraine wrote below "I wish I had your problems".

    Kind of pointless asking children.

Not really. All other channels ask adults, but this one is different. I was curious as to what the kids were thinking about their current circumstances. And Hamachan did an excellent job here.

Children are still people with insight. They give a more rounded picture of what they see their parents go through.
