Andy Bell was one of my FAVORITE pop singers of the 80's. He has a BEAUTIFUL voice actually, with incredible range. Just listen to Erasure songs, some of them are SO BEAUTIFULLY sung and crafted by him, it can blow you away.
The performance was miles more confident and polished than the rehearsal footage! You can tell he really took this seriously and worked to quickly master this song as much as time allowed.
What a bizarre concept! In America, the closest we've come to this is a show having popstars compete to become a country western singer! I've loved Andy Bell's voice since the early 80s. Just found out Erasure's coming back to San Diego in Oct 2011. Wonder if he'll do any opera?!
In the beginning he was but he opened up later. He is a highly naturally gifted singer and does not have any formal training as my understanding. This was a real treat to watch.
His stance would be the result of a double hip replacement, Jenkins when you hit menopause and feel a burning sensation in your breast, it’s you standing on your nipple - it’s called aging , comes to us all😂
