HI great tutorial ! I have a problem at the Interaction stage, as soon as I CHOP referrence with both Select Tops I cannot see the circle + keyboard function no longer works. I followed the instructions @17:20 by adding a Composite and a level to the Null, nothing changes. Can anyone help me with this?
I’ve been wondering how to do this for months... I did somthing similar using glsl and the pixel relocation technique... but thank you so much for sharing this! it looks way better than mine :P
@@Diabetictwink i managed a kinda not so nice descent yet. i added a lag which is triggered by the mouse button which controlls the brightness of a level top inside the feedback loop. the way you would controll any feedback
So basically what I ended up doing was created a bunch of colors and a switch. Then I made some CHOPS of a timer - count- lag and did a chop reference of the running lag to the switch. This allows the colors to change smoothly over time. Just change the lag number. @maximilianspeckvonsternbur1855
HI! Thank you for the tutorial! For some reason when I add the circle the watercolor effect just stays inside the diameter of the circle. Do you know what might be happening there?
@@elekktronaut Thank you for taking the time to answer. I just had to change the input order in the second composite -the one inside the feedback chain- and it worked perfectly!
This is fantastic, thank you so much for sharing. I got it working great, except when opening the viewer or perform mode. When I do, its just black. The interaction is still working when I click the mouse in the viewer window, I can see it in the work space. But the viewer window/perform mode window itself is just black...?
Hey! Not sure if you managed to fix it but I'll leave a note incase other people have the same issue: at 16:53 you can see that in the 'container' window under the 'look' tab the background TOP is set to ./bg My performance window was black and unresponsive since it was set to something else. So make sure the name is correct in that box.
Awesome tutorial, thank you! - what is the best direction in terms of having the interactive example of clicking be an experience that can live on the web / or as an interactive container?
great video. wondering if there's a simple way to automate feedback pulsing so that one doesn't have to constantly hit 1? and also a way to modify it such that when the feedback is pulsed it transitions smoothly instead of a hard cut back to the beginning of the loop
So I ended up just adding a level between blur1 and displace1 with an opacity of .998 so that way the ripples just fade out, and I never have to reset. For anyone else who has this issue!
Hi, thanks for this amazing tutorial (once again). I've just a question about the button for the pulse feedback. When I don't select the operator, nothing happen when I hit the "1" button of my keyboard. Why ? :(
How did you create a loop when you put the displace 1 onto feedback 1. My pattern just moves once and then stops. Great video by the way. Having so much fun learning TD!
Hey hey! Thanks for this tutorial :)) I seem to have a problem with the resetpulse - when I am in perform mode, pressing key 1 does not reset the screen. It works only when I am inside the project window and have the feedback1 TOP highlighted... do you know why this might be the case?
Also, is there a way to keep the perform window open while I experiment with changing the different parameters so I don't have to keep opening and closing it?
@@anastasiabusy4474 you can click on the white rectangle (open viewer) next to the pane type and it will always show up the perform mode. And to fixed your first problem, I think you should make an Out TOP instead of Null. Sorry for my bad english.
the mad man did, What a fast turn around for this tutorial
Ah man! was so looking forward to this! great stuff as always 🙏
Hi! Thank you so much. Great work!
Such selfless sharing...really appreciated :)
Is it possible for you to explain sops and procedural modeling in detail, so as to strike a co-relation with other modeling apps?
Great explanation of slope top! Love using the edge effect at the moment too so many possibilities. Thank you
i realize I am kind of randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to stream new tv shows online?
@Kai Willie i would suggest flixportal. You can find it on google =)
@Simon Dane Thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I appreciate it !
@Kai Willie happy to help :)
Aurelian Ionus's channel looks awesome.

Danke für das Tutorial! Der Effekt ist echt nice👍
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you.
Great tutorial, how can we make it interactive with kinect?
Thank you! such a great tutorial!
This is going up on my insta today, might try to put a twist on it :)
How are you switching between the interactive version and the home 17:07 ???
du hast schon echt n richtig gutes gespür für farben
Danke dir!
You are awesome as always ! :)
thank you so much for the tutorials
Hello, I love this so much but I’m just wondering how could I make it interactive with the Kinect ?
Hi thanks for this! Can we randomly automate all these parameters? Also, what format should we export this in?
i cant do the loop when a drag the displace to the feedback, the effect only starts but never ends, the loop doesn´t exist :c
Impresionante!!
Any ideas on how to make it loop so that the colors are cycling back through like resetting it?
Been wondering the same thing
Did you happen to work this out? Trying to figure it out as well

You're the best!
Lovely stuff, was there a download of this .toe file in your patreon?
I am wondering why I click 'open viewer' and nothing happened? It's just all black
Make sure that in your project1 container that the Background TOP is changed to ./bg so it will display the null named bg in your work area :)

did you accidently bypass the displace? Since I think the displace is moving it out
Hm not sure. Is your circle the right resolution and pixel format? Does it have softness? Maybe try adjusting the blur and the strength of the slope.

When I don't select the operator, nothing happen when I hit the "1" button of my keyboard. Why ? :(
Also have been trying to figure out why
I've got a similar issue- I need to have the select operator selected and to keep pressing 1 for anything to happen. Are you using a Mac?
I just tried the latest update and it sorted out the problem

slop looks so familiar to the normal top,get similar result.
