The part of the song at 2:25 where it becomes a HELL of a lot more melancholic, very much feels like its channeling the old "Asakim is Masaki after he lost everything and turned evil." theories. It very much gives the mental image of Masaki holding a recently deceased Wendy in his arms as there is nothing but ruins in his surroundings.
Considering Z3 revealed that the pilot of Shurouga was long dead and Asakim was in fact merely a projection by Shurouga itself, it'd be more accurate to have Cybuster holding a dead Masaki.
Awe bummer, so no Masaki meeting Asakim...it should have been a thing. Maybe they can meet up in a normal srw title crossover MY DREAM IS NOT DYING THAT FAST!
There's always a little chance due to fan pressure but I don't know, japanese communities of SRT keep asking for original Astranagant and it hasn't appeared yet.

(SRW30 spoilers) Here's hoping 30's postplot brings back a couple more souls from the void between the Z3 and 30 universes. I know the Z3 robots are because Aos sacked their world a long time ago, but do remember Asakim was instrumental in making sure Advent could be defeated, and look what happened to him in 30.
