When my family immigrated to Vancouver from HK back in 1990, I remember we always went to that hotpot place!!!! We would go there every week. We stopped going after there was an armed robbery. There were tons of Chinese restaurants and HK Tea restaurants in that area. Besides Gloucester, there were four other ones in that area, but many of them closed down. Back in the 90's, an entree baked rice was around $8.99, and the mini-version would be $5.99!!!!!! But back then, my family's new house near UBC was only $800,000. So I think seafood baked rice prices saw less inflation than real estates LOL! I remember that before Gloucester Restaurant, the previous version was also a Chinese restaurant that served traditional HK Style Chinese food. I think they were the same owners. I wish I could go back in time and revisit those very old places. There are many treasures in the BC Lower mainland that we can still see time stood-still since the 90s!!!

現在溫哥華好難有煎豬扒的焗飯食了，因為少人識做同貪方便所以做炸的，有些師父都未見過煎的焗豬扒飯，所以唔識做，哈哈！！我講真喎

以前做過茶餐廳，師傅話炸豬排可以索汁，好味D, 層次多D。香港先要煎定一大盤，一有order就可以即刻做。

以前住溫哥華時經常去春秋火鍋，當時人均30元已經有象拔蚌食，又會經常去city square飲茶因為當時有間玉麒麟酒家。
今時今日麥當勞食兩個餐都已經要$30🙂↕️🙂↕️
