Glad it’s not just me that plays “spot the exchange” when I’m in a new part of the country Bob 😂! I’m 14 years with BT in total so far, over 2 stints. As a long time lurker on the channel, I just wanted to thank you and Jenny for all that you do for the motorhome community, in particular for us newbies. It was your videos that encouraged us to hire one at the end of 2019 for a tour of Devon and Dorset coincidentally! At the grand old age of 41 I thought we’d be too young, for motorhoming but I was really surprised at the mix of age groups, and how friendly and welcoming everyone is. As a full time wheelchair user, we hired an adapted van from Coachbuilt GB and was really impressed by the facilities on each site, something that can’t always be guaranteed in hotels and B&B’s. Now saving hard to buy our own! Keep up the good work!
There’s some lovely cafes/tea shops. Oliver’s in the Main Street makes all their cakes and are simply gorgeous. My favourite is their apple pie, delicious
I told you Sherborne was where the Hovis ad was filmed (boy with a bike) in comments on a previous video but, in hindsight, I was mistaken. It was actually Shaftesbury, I think. Apologies for the incorrect information
Thanks for the very nice video on Sherborne, poor Poppy could not have enjoyed it too much...Also thanks for your video on Port Isaac, which I saw a while ago having followed Doc Martin's show, on Netflix all last year. Lol
As a Sherborne native, also with a westie, there are multiple dog walking trails if you continue towards the train station, and you passed it when you drove by the garden center. You can also continue that direction to walk to the playing fields where you can find a vantage viewpoint of Sherborne.
Hi great video another for the list! We have just spent 4 nights in Southport campsite! Lovely place! Really enjoyed and would definitely revisit! Went for miles on our bikes!😁
Hi Bob, Sherborne is one place I have never been so it was good to see what it was like. I would have thought you would be at the New Forest site by now, as Sherborne I would think was on Friday 11th, then move on to Corfe Castle but I may be completely wrong. Have been waiting for your Corfe Castle and surrounding area videos as its an area I have been to many times.
I see their is a comment from Mondeoboy6809 that he plays spot the exchange, I don't spot the exchange but when you drive or walk around you just recognise the building as I worked for Post office Telephones then it was BT, then went on to work in Openreach, so in total 35 years. Now Retired.
Thanks for the video of my home town that I was born in Sherborne but now live in Wiltshire by Stonehenge. What a shame all the places you wanted to have a walk around in was signs for no dogs poor poppy . Such a shame as when on a lead and well behaved dogs like poppy you all miss out. Look forward to the next video.
Looks like Sherborne isn't very dog friendly :-( how can any town resist Poppy? I've always wondered why Westies always seem to have one ear down and the other up 🤗
Great video love camping in campsite , exploring and traveling around to amazing places of the uk

Thank you very much. I worked for BT for 26 years until taking redundancy in 1998.

Poppy was quite happy trotting around the town. 😊

Love the olde world buildings but you’re right, the streets were not designed for today’s traffic! Nice update. Cheers Dave & Helen

Thanks, hopefully I've said what music was in the video description.

Love Sherborne, very pretty area, glad you got to see the Cerne Giant! X
Apparently it’s the only legal porn in the U.K.! We live in Sherborne and drive past it on our way to Dorchester

There is big open area near the castle that welcomes dogs. I drive past it regularly and there are always lots of dogs enjoying themselves.
Great video again 😁
Sainsburys and Waitrose car parks now both have 2 hours free parking without need for a ticket etc
Poor Poppy no parks for her today 🐕
Latest estimates of the age of cerne giant using soil dating is between AD 700 and 1100 which indicates it was constructed by Anglo Saxons
I'd hoped it was older than 300 years!
Looks like Sherborne isn't very dog friendly :-( how can any town resist Poppy? I've always wondered why Westies always seem to have one ear down and the other up 🤗
How sad is it that no dogs allowed in any of the gardens.
I know
@@BobEarnshawMoHo There is a big open area near the castle that welcomes dogs.
this should be called driving to Sherborne and finding a place to park.....
Yes, it was a good job I didn't take the motorhome.
We always park in Waitrose car park. It’s free and you get 1.5 hours. Plus it’s right in the centre of the town.
